Ask a Question
Money no issue? What would you change?

I was thinking about this in the car today and thought about what I would change about my wedding if money wasn't an issue. For our honeymoon, we definitely wouldn't be staying in hostels as we backpack around southern Europe. For the wedding, I would rent a limo for transportation of the wedding party. Our ceremony and reception are in the same place, so I just can't justify a limo. It looks like we are taking van taxis. Tacky? Maybe. Within budget. Definitely. No ones going to see us show up anyway because we are taking our pictures before the ceremony.

Some other things I would get:
-a photobooth
-a live band for the dance

I think that's about it; really I wouldn't change too much. What would you change?

No money challenges, I would:

- Pay for all of my guests to fly out and pay for their hotels.
- Pay for all of my girls dresses too.
- Buy every guest an iPad (Matt and I dream-talk about this) as favors.
- Buy my mama and sister and myself matching diamond bracelets as gifts to represent our bond.
- Have a 5 course meal with fire elements.
- Have a different live band play every hour.
- Have more entertainment during dinner (a full cirque de soliel).

That's it for now. I will be back :) lol!! I dream big.

I would also have a photobooth.  And for the honeymoon I'd love to go to Scotland (I never got to go last time I went overseas : (  ) and travel round Europe a bit more and FH would like to go to Africa.

You do dream big and I love it!  If you win the lottery, can I come to your wedding? I would love an Ipad :). Fire elements during dinner and a full cirque de soliel would be amazing.

ileigha: You would love Scotland. My FH Chris and I went backpacking there a few years ago and loved it. We took a tour all around, even up to the Highlands. Africa is so cool too. I've been to Botswana and Cape Town. I would love to go see other parts.

your wedding sounds a lot like mine... We are thinking of backpacking in europe for our honey moon, our reception and ceremony is at the same place (no limo either haha). OMG lol... ok this can go many ways... unlimited...it be in like a castle in ireland or something crazy...but more realistically if i could expand the budget a bit I would have DECOR crazy..... hire a wedding planner from day one... photobooth, open bar...ok i could go on forever lol

Oh yes I forgot open bar. I would definitely add that to my list too. Castle in Ireland would be amazing; I would be drinking Guinness the whole time. Where in Europe are you thinking of going to? We're thinking Spain, France, Italy, maybe even Greece. The list could go on. There are so many places I want to see.

Fun!! If money was no object, our wedding would be in a beautiful beach hotel in Jamaica or Sri Lanka. All expenses paid for everyone. It would be right on the beach and would be a fusion buffet still but with live chefs doing some specialized dishes-like Mongolian BBQ or a Sri lankan dish called kotthu roti-like their stir fry.. Also some of you would be there and while we're dreaming big, I'd fly in Stevie Wonder to perform and have my dad accompany him on a second piano!

And I too would fly some or lots of you out there too! :)

Um Nidhal, iPads as favours?! BADA$$!!!!!!

Our favours would be something like a cool piece of Sri Lankan art-laughing Buddha or a carved wood elephant. Or if we're in Jamaica, top shelf Appleton rum and Blue Mountain coffee :)

Your dream wedding sounds amazing Natasha. You could even do the ceremony in Jamaica and then fly in your private jet to Sri Lanka for the reception or vice versa. A piano duo with Stevie Wonder. Could it get any better than that?

I would have rent out a private island in the Turks all expenses paid for the guest  and have a wedding WEEK not day!  full of all types of events for the guest!

Have the Best lighting, flowers, and decor you can find!

Have some wonderful favors for the guest!

Action stations for the food with chefs cooking in front of the guest

if money wasnt an object, i would want to hire a wedding planner, have a "nicer" looking dress, get a limo, i would have a bigger reception area, and i would go decor crazy. I think i would have a full dinner instead of a dessert bar, and i would pay for all the BM's dresses and have their hair done, and nails done... there are so many things that i just cant list them all.

I was just about to go to bed, but then I remembered i saw this earlier and really wanted to comment as found it fun to think about. If money was no issue then I guess we would be able to fly all the people who can't make it from Australia over to England, so my FH will have more friends there. Also we would have a honeymoon, and for once in my life we would fly 1st class, and stay in a top hotel instead of camping or hostelling! Although only for a couple of nights, then I'd get bored!
I wouldn't change my general theme, or dress or BM's, but I'd go all out on the entertainment, I like the idea of a different band every hour.
I could probably go on, but need to go to bed. I'll probably imagine even more!

summerbride2010: A wedding week. Sounds like fun! It's like when people turn their birthday into a birthday weekend. Action stations sound cool too; I just love the atmosphere when food is cooked before my eyes.

rachaeljustice2010: That would be sweet to pay for your BM's dresses. I'm sure your dress looks lovely too :).

englishbrideinaustralia: I would love to fly first class too and stay in real hotels and not hostels :). A different band every hour would be really fun; you could get music from different genres too.
