Got the Vases!

Glass tall centerpieces. I think it's 24 inches tall.
They are just beautiful. I asked for the Submersible FloraLytes
to give a nice touch.

Cake
I already picked my wedding cake!!

I picked my wedding cake. It's beautiful!!!
It's a romantic, three-tiered wedding cake in Aqua. With Chocolate Brown embroidered lace design and with individually made sugar flowers. The flowers that I picked for the cake are Hydrangeas, Calla Lilies and Blue Dendrobium Orchids. The flavors are brandy and chocolate (my fiance requested chocolate).

Went to Puerto Rico 4/23/08

I went to Puerto Rico last week. It wasn't for the best since I
went for my grandfather's funeral. =(

I miss you Granpa!

6/3/28 - 4/22/08

I was planning to go this summer to meet my wedding planner
and to do some things for my wedding but since I had to go
I did it last week anyways. I can't go back for the summer, so my wedding planner made emergency appointments for my wedding cake, the hotel where the wedding is taking place, the flowers and to see some centerpieces.

Invitations Countdown

Well, here it says to start looking for invitations 6 months
before the wedding. My wedding will be in July 2009 and
I'm already looking !!! LoL!!

Set and reserve the time and date for the wedding. Follow this ideal time frame to order and process your invitations prior to your wedding:

6 Months
Start looking for invitations. Begin compiling your guest lists and collecting addresses.

4 Months
Order invitations. Make sure your spelling is correct. Know to whom your response cards are being returned to, and have the correct return address and zip code as well as the event time. If using a calligrapher or other people to help address your invitations, order an additional 10 to 15% outer envelopes.

3 Months
Start addressing invitations, doing a few at a time. Hire a calligrapher if you are going to do so.

2 Months
Recheck guest list to make sure you have not forgotten anyone.

6 Weeks
Send out all the invitations.

2 Weeks
All responses should be in. (Caterer will need a final count.)

Checklist for the Groom

This checklist will help the groom in planning the most important day of his life.

6 Months

Select your best man. Decide how many ushers you need (1 for every 50 guests), and select them.
Start making out your guest list.
Arrange visit with minister to discuss ceremony.
Discuss wedding expenses with fiancee and all parents.
Discuss honeymoon plans. If traveling abroad, make legal arrangements (passport, visas, inoculations etc).
Visit wedding gift registry with fiancee.
3 Months

Complete guest list, give it to fiancee.
Consult with fianceé and order wedding attire for self, best man, ushers and fathers.
Arrange transportation (limousines, etc.) for wedding party to ceremony and reception.
Complete honeymoon plans: buy tickets, arrange hotel, etc.
Order wedding rings and engraving.
Arrange to pay for bride's bouquet and going-away corsage; order boutonnieres for men, and corsages for mothers.
See your doctor for exams and blood test.
6-8 Weeks

Plan rehearsal dinner with your parents.
Consult with fianceé and arrange lodging for relatives and ushers from out of town.
Select gifts for best man and ushers, to be given at the bachelor dinner or wedding rehearsal.
Choose bride's wedding present. Something personal, such as a watch or other piece of fine jewelry, is traditional.
Make sure necessary documents - legal, insurance, financial, medical, and religious - are in order.
Give or attend bachelor party.
Pick up wedding rings, check engraving.
Help fiancee with thank-you notes.
2 Weeks

Make a date with your fianceé to get the marriage license.
Arrange with the best man for transportation from the reception to the airport or train.
Double check honeymoon reservations and hotel for wedding night.
1 Week

Explain any special seating arrangements to head usher.
Put the clergy member's or judge's fee in a sealed envelope and give it to the best man, to be delivered after the ceremony.
Purchase traveler's checks.
Get your going-away clothes ready so you can change after the reception.
Pack for your honeymoon.
Arrange to move belongings to new home.
Remind best man and ushers of the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner details. Present gifts to attendants at rehearsal dinner.
Arrange for rental returns.
Be sure you and your bride sign the wedding certificate and see that it is safely put away before leaving on your honeymoon.
Have best man send a thank-you note to your bride's parents the next day saying how lovely both the wedding and reception were, and thanking them for all they did.

shapes dress
Wedding Dress Shapes
Knowing your wedding dress shapes.

Understanding your wedding and bridal dress shapes is an important part of being a bride! So here are some basics to create your own wedding guide.

Straight wedding dresses:
Cut closer to the body. Often more revealing than traditional wedding dresses. Usually cut on the bias to allow fabric to flow and flatter the figure.

A-line Princess wedding dresses:
Think of the shape of an A! The dress is cut closest to the bust and then falls away from the body. It is a “forgiving” wedding dress shape. The dress will avoid clinging to the hips or thighs. As the dress has a certain “swish” to it, you can have a field day with statement making bridal shoes.

Empire wedding dresses:
An A-line dress, with seams placed under the bust for shaping.

Strapless wedding dresses:
Cut across the bust without straps or neckline coverage. Wedding planners and brides alike have rejoiced at this liberating shape option. A true wedding favor!

Mermaid wedding dress:
Fitted at the waist and flairs from the knee into a fuller circle. Fashion forward for a contemporary wedding

Ball gown dresses:
Fitted bodice and fuller skirt. The quintessential bridal shape.

Wedding Dress Body Types
What suits your body type best.

Hourglass:
Two-piece and corset dresses enhance the hourglass figure. Anything that accentuates the bride’s waist is in. Beautiful ball gowns and corseted bodices normally work for the bust line as well. Bridal bouquets should not overwhelm. Bridal headpieces should not be overdone if the bridal ball gown is elaborate.

Pear shaped.:
A-line princess dresses disguise fuller hips and the pear shaped body types best. This also balances torso to bust. Chapel length bridal veils add sleeker lines. For wedding hairstyles don’t have all your hair swept up to help emphasize balance.

Petite:
Clean, unbroken contours without too much fabric tend to elongate.Big Ball gowns and mermaid wedding dress shapes can overwhelm. Chapel or finger-tip bridal veils ensure that the petite bride is framed well. Keep bridal accessories and wedding accessories to a minimum.

Tall:
From ball gowns, princess line and A- line wedding dresses, straight bridal dresses and mermaid dresses; all are great for the tall bride who can carry almost any dress style. Avoid empire line dresses that can look almost “tent like”. Avoid wedding flowers or bouquets that are too small or large. Ensure they work proportionately with you and your body type.

Fuller waisted:
Princess-line and drop waist wedding dresses are most flattering. Draw the eye up with stunning bridal and wedding accessories. Killer Diamonds will do the trick! Bridal shoes with height may assist.

Broader shoulder:
Wedding tip number #1. Broader shouldered brides should veer from halter and off-the-shoulder necklines, which tend to accentuate the shoulders. Try strapless and scoop necklines. For bridal accessories fine delicate jewelry works best with your body type.

Fuller busted:
Bridal corsets can work magic. You will find reputable names under bridal supplies or bridal accessories. Wedding dresses that are scoop and square necklines enhance bust lines. Widely set apart straps diminish fuller busted figures. Strapless dresses are on your wedding checklist as a “wait and see how it looks possibility”.

Fuller Arms: Off the shoulder straps or sheer fabric is a great wedding dress tip. In solid fabric, usually three-quarter or long sleeve works best to elongate the line of the arm. Sleeves should not be cut tight. Ever!

Samples of Wedding Vow Wording

I, (Bride/Groom), take you (Groom/Bride), to be my (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.

I, (name), take you, (name), to be my [opt: lawfully wedded] (husband/wife), my constant friend, my faithful partner and my love from this day forward.

In the presence of God, our family and friends, I offer you my solemn vow to be your faithful partner in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and in joy as well as in sorrow. I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, to honor and respect you, to laugh with you and cry with you, and to cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

I (name), take you (name) to be my (husband/wife), my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our union and love you more each day than I did the day before. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live.

In the presence of God and these our friends I take thee to be my husband/wife, promising with Divine assistance to be unto thee a loving and faithful husband/wife so long as we both shall live.

I, (name), take you, (name), to be my friend, my lover, the (mother/father) of my children and my (husband/wife). I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to care and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you, for all eternity.

I, [name], choose you [name] to be my [husband/wife], to respect you in your successes and in your failures, to care for you in sickness and in health, to nurture you, and to grow with you throughout the seasons of life.

I, (name), take you, (name), to be my partner, loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know. I eagerly anticipate the chance to grow together, getting to know the (man/woman) you will become, and falling in love a little more every day. I promise to love and cherish you through whatever life may bring us.

After both have said individual vows, they may wish to say something in unison such as:

Entreat me not to leave you, or to return from following after you, For where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. And where you die, I will die and there I will be buried. May the Lord do with me and more if anything but death parts you from me.

Types of Flowers

I love flowers!!!
Since I was a little girl.
I used to go to my grandmother's house
to get flowers to plant them in my house.
For a little girl I had a pretty good garden. lol

That's why it's so hard for me to pick my flowers!!!

I like all of them!!!

I like the hydrangeas, they are soooo beautiful. You can color them. They come in blue, white, light green, purple, lavender, dark pink and light pink.
The roses are just georgeous , gerberas, peonies are so beautiful, lillies, daysies, carnations, tulips, orquids, uffff if I keep going .....

The Colors Of My Wedding!!
Pool Blue(Aqua),Ivory & Chocolate Brown

These are the colors for my wedding.
They are different and they look really cute together.

They are Pool Blue (Aqua blue or Tiffany Blue)
I think they are almost the same color, they look alike. I'm having a hard time finding things in Pool Blue. All I can find is things in turquoise or Aqua...

Also Ivory and Brown as an accent.
