Straight out of college
So I (we) decided that I'm going to go kind of cheap with the photography. I (we) know a friend who just got out of a college photography program. I've (we) looked at his porfolio which is ABSOLUTELY amazing I (we)must say. I (we) must say this is going to be a real deal and save us A LOT of money.

That's wonderful!  Why pay lots of money when you don't have to!?!?!  I have a friend still in culinary school who is just as creative & qualified as any other chef, & he helps alot with events.  He does work for close to nothing, & I wouldn't trade him.  I bet your friend is going to make your photos look absolutely beautiful & it will be just as good, if not better than any other established photographer.  Congratulations!

Thank you. I think you should definitely consider using your friend for your wedding. It gives them a lot of responsibility in the wedding and I'm sure they'll appreciate it. And who else but a friend to give you a reputable reference.

Great idea. I'm doing the same. I have a newpaper journalist who is also a photographer taking our photos. She is only charging for her time and then we print the photos ourselves.
