This is mamajea's Green Wedding!

We put together this just married sign, but my mom hand made all the pompoms to make them look fuller she did not like how wimpy the other ones were. We also added gems to add a little bling. I have been saving tin cans for the past couple months, and I sprayed them in black and white, and strung them on several strands of black and white twine purchased at ikea.

I went over the border to Target last week and found these really cute luggage tags and passport covers in their wedding section, all on clearance. Gotta love a good bargain.

At metrotown the other day I got this purse at CK also on clearance (23.99) so cute, I love that it has a clover on it, and a bit of bling!!

I enjoyed this project. I got the tray from Michaels and painted it white, the inside was stamped with a damask stamp. I ordered the Glasine Envelopes from weddingstar they were on sale for just over 5dollars in packs of 25. Bought 2 boxes of tissues, and 4 rolls of damask ribbon from walmart, attached it all together with double sided tape and attached our monogram...voila!

Yes I am a total night owl tonight. Our goal is to have all the "little things" done by the end of October so there will be a lot of late nights in my immediate future! Sorry the pics did not turn out the best as I am not really with it this early in the AM!

I used the Damask notecards again to print the sign on. I am so happy that I have these..they really made a difference in the plain white frames, a bit of oomph.

So after months of saving products as they went on sale, our bathroom baskets are finally done! My FH and I take our products very seriously and we really wanted to actually put in the things we LOVE to use, so things easily could have gotten out of hand cost wise...thank goodness for bargain and bulk shopping! All that is left to buy is the advil for each basket!

Another project down. Should I call it a night yet???

OMG. I am so glad that these are done. By far this was one of the most tedious DIY I have done to date...not hard, just so much into it. I purchased the bags, stamp, paint and bling, in bulk at Michaels. I wrote the welcome on the bags in my own hand writing for a personal touch. Then printed up the agenda on the damask notecards I purchased at Office depot. We also put together the water bottles tonight and they turned out great (sorry forgot to rotate the pic..I am tired!) bought some snacks in bulk at costco....I think the cost of this entire project worked out to being roughly $2 give or take per bag...gotta love bulk shopping! Phew...these knocked me on my butt tonight :)

I am not too sure what we are going to do....I know we (the bridal party)are being announced individually for an entrance at the reception, but we are not sure when we do our first dance! When we walk into the room...or after speeches? What are you doing?

I was so happy. I went into office depot today and they had damask invitation kits in the clearance bin for get this....$5 bucks...marked down from $47.00! I bought 2...since we already had invitations, I will use them to print various signs, rehersal invites etc. I made up letters to our oot guests to put into their welcome bags. They turned out great. Sorry the pics are not the best. The invite kits also came with thank you cards..so now I do not have to purchase them...100 of them for 10 bucks. I am one happy Mama....

I am so stressed. After trying for about a month I still cannot find manzanita branches/trees anywhere. I tried to order from both bloomsandbranches.com and saveoncrafts.com but neither deliver to Canada. I thought about ordering them to a friends in Washington seeing as I live so close to the border, but I have found out that because they are still considered a plant I run the risk of not being able to bring them across the line. My question is, please someone help me find either an online store who will deliver to Canada, or a store in Canada...or anything u can suggest. Does anyone know where I can buy these?????

So future husband and I went and got our marriage licence today! LoL...am I wrong to be floored at how much they cost? I feel like it is the most expensive piece of paper out there...how much do you have to pay in your province/state???!

Okay so we have finalized with our decorator what we want here.....this is a pic I found of what I want our head table to look like, my sister in law is making the damask swags and curtain gathers, the decorator will be doing the backdrop and providing the black table cloth for the head table...we are also using real granny smith apples as our place cards....only 72 days left!!

Thought this was a cute touch just need a frame...our signature drink is the apple-tini..my fav! (Sorry the pic is so dark...not sure why)

So as you know we are getting married beside a swimming pool in the evening and we decided to decorate the pool by using floating candles and lily pads, well we thought it would be a cute idea to let our guests light a candle and place it in the pool...this is what I came up with...I bought plain match boxes 8 for $1 at Dollar Giant, floating candles, pack of 6 for $1 at Dollar Giant, glued damask wallpaper on each matchbox, attached candle with ribbon..and voila..still have more to do, the bin is nearly full...this would be a cute favor too I think...wish I had thought of it before I bought mine...oh well love the pool idea, and I think our guests will think it is a nice touch...let me know what you think!

Because we are not leaving for Boracay until December 27th we are going on a little mini-moon to the Whistler/Blackcomb mountains for one week, winter and summer all in the same month! What a lucky girl I am....

Never heard of it? That is because no one goes there yet really! After careful thought, we decided on Boracay because for the amonut we would spend in say Jamaica for a week, we can stay in Boracay for a month! And that is just what we are doing...hehehe...one month in paradise...life is good!

I would like to thank tony at 99 Nursery on King George Highway for giving me an amazing deal on our flowers. I was so worried about having to pay up the ying yang for green cymbidium orchids and eskimo roses as neither will be in season in November, but Tony gave me the best deal ever as I was dead set on having these, and sticking to the budget. We are getting 4 dozen eskimo roses and 5 dozen cymbidium orchids for 152 dollars, plus he gave me an extra 15% off! Go Tony! My mother is a retired floral desiginer and I am so lucky to have someone do all the labour for love! Out of these we will be making:

I was just curious, since this site is mainly american...how many brides on here are from British Columbia Canada? And how are the wedding plans going? I know for myself being from BC it is not that easy to find everything we need out here as far as supplies go. I have had to pay so much in taxes ordering over the border. It's crazy......

So I had my stagette last Saturday. Yeah I know it was early but we decided to have it in August because if anyone knows Vancouver where I am from it Rains sooo bad around september until spring. We didn't want to have to worry about it so we did it in August. Anyhow needless to say it rained anyway (oh Murphys Law!) after being sunny everyday previously, and even the day after! LoL. Oh well it was bearable, it never really rained when we were walking around which is great.

Anyways my sister in law made my outfit which turned out amazing, and I even wore the veil from her wedding. She had everything planned out so well organizing so many friends I have not seen in a long time, the dinner, games, night club. It was the best stagette ever.

So I need your help here. We have a lot of friends who unfortunately we are only able to invite to the party portion of the wedding. Do you think it is tacky, like we shouldn't even ask them to come if we cannot afford to feed them? Or do you think they will understand and send them a nice invitation specifically for that portion of the reception?

Has anyone made invites for people to come only to the dance portion, and if so how are you wording the invites?

So from the time of my last post until now (about 8 hours) I have been starting on my projects made with my damask wallpaper. So far I have put together 14 center cake stands, a guest book, and about 25 escort cards so far...whew! omg...my question is..have you ever stared at damask so long that you start to go batty? I am losing it now I think! Had to put the damask away before I went crossed eyed....hehehe...pics to come some time later of what I have done so far.........

I am so excited! The wallpaper that we special ordered from the Home Depot arrived today. Now I can finally start in on several projects that I have been dying to get started on: Centerpiece cake stands, escort cards, flower pots, water bottles...so many. Will be posting a lot of DIY in the next few weeks...stay tuned!

In other new I have finally got all of our invitations put together, labeled and stamped..just need to wait to mail them..Yay!
