Is it tacky to let people know you are registered? I read that it was...??
When it came time to register there were so many places to choose from. Downtown Vancouver offers so many amazing little home boutiques. In the end tho we decided that it would be best to register at a store that is Canada-wide as we will be having a lot of visitors from other provinces. We chose to register at the Bay and Home Outfitters. I have my fingers crossed for a Red Kitchen Aid mixer, Shawn wants a Carpet cleaner so bad!

its not tacky to register, it helps guests to know what to get you. it also prevents people from buying you things you dont really want or need. its actually helpful to the guest. if they dont want to get you a gift, they wont, but if they do, they'll have a handy list (the registry) to choose from.

I don't know from that store, but in the store I have my gift registry they give like a little and nice piece of paper with the number of the registration, and of course the name of the groom and bride.  I put that little piece of paper in every invitation. Many of my guests were asking me if I have a gift resgistry and now when they see the piece of paper they know.  It is simple but is a great idea.
