Had my son pic out some stuff for the kids..this is what he came up with, not too much but thought it was cute and good for photo ops..and all kids like bubbles. Decided to wrap it all up to suit the theme, this will be their centerpiece.

So I have known since the begging that I wanted a candy buffet, but am just curious how much this is gonna cost me! I am doing favors for my stagette (there are about 35 girls coming) and so I went to my local grocery store and purchased 2 bags of jelly bellys from the bulk food isle. The bags were about half full. I was shocked when I got to the counter and it was 48 dollars for those 2 bags. I went into panic mode (I should look at prices more) and well I was amazed that they were 1.99per 100/g not 1.99 per LB. What the eff...panicing...should I even do a candy buffet...how much are y'all spending??

So I got my invitations last week, and was just wondering when they are supposed to be sent out? Our wedding is the 28th of November so I was just wondering is sending them in August too soon? Heeelp please!

So my mom and sister in law are throwing me my bridal shower and the color theme is pink and brown.

I will be giving these fortune cookies out at my bridal shower. My mom and I will be buying bags of fortune cookies and then dipping them in milk chocolate and adding pink heart sprinkles. We will be putting them in clear chinese take out boxes, and attaching pink/brown ribbon and then the stickers that my mom has purchased from weddingstar.

The gift tags I found on etsy. They are so cheap...2 bucks for 8 of them! Most of the time I try to make stuff, but these are just uber cheap..ink is expensive, dang!

My Damask wallpaper will be here in 2 weeks so I can start making my center cake stands! Yayyyyy!

Ok so I am gonna start some more DIY projects...perhaps menus and programs...can anyone suggest any sites I can go to for free templates..or have any currently downloaded you can send me? I am just new to all of this, so something basic I can teach myself as I go along would help me tremendously! I have checked on several sites, and haven't found much, perhaps I am not looking in the right places...please help..I need to be lead in the right direction! Thanks!!

Since the beggining when I started looking at cakes, I knew that I wanted a silver cake plateau. Not only does it add height, but it is also so dramatic, and so elegant. The only thing is that they are so expensive ...well I looked everywhere to rent one, and found a few from $30-$70 to rent, only they were all too big, or did not have a square one at all. I was ecstatic to find this one on clearance through efavormart.com regular price $199.00 on sale for $75.99! Thrilled.

Oh and FYI...our wedding invitations came in via ups today. Eeeeee! Oh happy day.

I do not know how it works traditionally, but I will be asking my girls to pull straws that have "OLD, BLUE, BORROWED, BLUE" written on each one and they will be in charge of providing me with something for that day...what are you ladies doing?

Since I like to splurge on big things, I really do hunt for deals on the little things. Ladies always check CRAIGSLIST AND KIJIJI...!!!!!

Got this brand new never used cake cutting set for 5 bucks on Craigslist. Pictures did not turn out so well but they are so beautiful in person. They are heavy too, totally not cheap...real silver..what??!

Our Favors were also bought on craigslist. I searched for this letter opener online and it they are 17 dollars each on there (when buying 100+) otherwise they are more. Bought them from someone on craigs for get this.... $1.75 each. These are not the cheap ones. They are long, and made of pewter. What an amazing deal. I just don't really like the box they came in as they don't match our theme, but for $1.75 I will wrap them up.

I love the jewelry our bridesmaids will be wearing. Antique finish, apple green gemstones. Even found them apple green clutches to match.

Help. I am so confused. What order is everyone supposed to walk down? Do the men walk too? With or without the bridesmaids? When do the kids walk? All I know is that I go last...hahaha. HELP! What order are you doing it?

Since I am paying so much for my wedding gown I did not want to pay too much for the reception dress. I found one I really loved for 350 in store, looked online and it was only 175. Then the other day I was in the mall totally not looking, and found the dress on sale for 95! SCORE! I am so happy!

So I just got these coloring books done. Let me know what you think. I think they turned out well! I so hope they like them.

Another thing to check off the list! The dresses came in yesterday!! Of course I had their parents drive them down to my place immediately! Rianna is our Junior Bridesmaid in the black dress, and Mya and Lea are the flower girls in white. Don't they looks so cute?? So happy. I ordered the dresses from My Cotton Candy..all the dresses were under 50 dollars. Such a great deal, and great quality. They were prompt, and totally recommend them!

So I decided to go dollar store hopping/shopping the past couple of days and found some amazing finds! Was especially luck with all the Damask Stuff.

The White Shred: Thought it would be good for the candy table to hold up the black and white lollipops.

Damask Boxes: Love These. I bought 4 sets in 3 sizes, will be for the bridesmaid gifts.

Damask Bags, pillow boxes, tissue paper: For the rest of the bridal party gifts/parent's gifts

The Tube of Pencil Crayons: Bought ten of these. So Perfect for the kids table as they are so sleek in a tube, suits wedding theme, and matches the duotangs for the coloring books.

Silly Fangs/Glasses: For Kids table!

Black Rock/Sand: For the head table in between the candles (also got clear diamond ones but they were too shiny to photograph) Such huge bottles for only a buck!!!

Invitations for Bridal Luncheon: Love the colors. They are also printable to personalize, comes with ribbon to attach! Way cheaper in this case than making my own. Was only 1 dollar!

Flower hair clips made for bachlorette party: Came in a boquet of 8 flowers, just pulled off the flower and leaves and my sis and I glue gunned them onto a claw clip...will double as the git bag closure.

Hot pink loot bags: Will put in the personalized CD (previous blog) and what else....not sure yet

Cute Tag Cards: For Bridesmaids at Luncheon, will attach it to something...can't say yet.

Damask Paper...Program Scrolls

I am looking for Damask Dresses and Ties. Has anyone come across any? I found some excellent Damask Clothing through Tommy Bahama, but unfortunately it is all summery and our wedding will be in the fall....still on the lookout for some ties...know of any??

I accidentally erased my last post...doh! Anyways...here are the mock ups for one of the personalized CD's I will be giving out at my stagette. My bridesmaids are putting together little "goodie bags" as favors and I thought it would be nice for me to make something that I personally put in there for them. I will be putting on the CD all my favorite songs that will more than likely be played on the party bus that night. We have a bus of thirty girls so this will be a lot of work....but so easy to do once you get going. Found a site to do it all in one place, including the caption bubbles...best of all it is free, good thing I was at Office Depot the other day and almost bought the program for 40buck...BONUS! I will be doing the mock up in the morning of the actual CD design. This is what I have so far...I like it, but need to add something else..can anyone tell me what is missing?? Something to Jazz it up?

So it has been a while since my last post I am usually updating like a freak, but I assure you I have gotten a lot done...will have a few posts tonight I think. Anyway first things first. My biggest stress thus far has been finding the right music for the ceremony. We are having a quartet, and I did not want the typical classical music played at our wedding. I wanted something contemporary that people would know, and actually meant something to us. I went through so many quartets who just did not share our vibe in their repitoire. So finally last night after pouring over so many sites, I found this company called Musical Occasion, that is an agent for musicians. I found the perfect quartet for us, best of all they can play music that suits US. Here is what we came up with, according to who is walking to it:

I am so stressing out here. we are doing a candy buffet, and I can't seem to find any black candy that isn't black licorice. Not that I mind black licorice, it is actually my FH's favorite, but I am not certain that everyone else will like it...can anyone suggest any candy/choclolate, that is black or wrapped in black???

I have finally found the hairstyle that I want for the wedding. My hair is super long and thick, and an updo would be just too heavy. I thought this style suited me best.....

After Dinner when I change into my "party outfit" Shawn will also be changing. I am filipino, and he is polish, so I was quite surprised that he wanted to change into a traditional filipino Barong...It was totally his Idea. He said he always wanted to wear one...so no time like your own wedding! Here is a pic of the Barong my mom is having made in the Philippines for him (had to have it made cause he is a big guy and they don't carry his size there...) :)
