How many images

How many images are included with your photography packages?
We are having the ceremony at Stratosphere Las Vegas and they have their own photographer (do not allow outside vendors) which will only give us 12 prints. They do offer extra prints but you must buy at least 50 at $10 each so we are looking at $500. Worst of all they will only photograph the ceremony, will not take pictures while we get ready and will not come to the reception with us...so we will need two photographers for the wedding.

I want to stay within our budget and I am trying to figure out if we would be getting an ok deal $500 for 50 images, oh also these are not prints just the images on a disk.

That sounds about right for a basic photographer, I'm only getting 10 prints in my package but all the images with full ownership on a DVD, we are also getting an album so don't need tons of prints anyway. A photographer to me should always be willing to photograph every aspect of your wedding, I would be so sad if I couldn't have pictures of every moment! =( How big are the prints you are getting? that plays a factor in how much they actually cost..

So I double checked the photo info and we actually do not get prints, we get a wedding album with 12 4x6, I'm now wondering if this would just be a regular photo album with the pictures in it or an actual phonebook with the images printed on the pages...Guess I need to contact them and see if I can get any more information.
50 images on disk though you say is definitely worth $500?
