Tuscan Style Table #'s
I made these myself! Let Me know what you think... They were pretty easy to put together.. I googled Tuscany style stationery about 1000 times and found this! Added the #'s to the wine bottle, and voila!
You will also see the memory table that I created for the family members that have past, but I still wanted them to be there that day. A simple white pillar candle, with vellum wrapping and a memory poem, some vine balls to keep with the Tuscan theme, white Xmas lite ball decorations, and a digitial photo frame that slideshowed the deceased photo's. I also added another little touch. Each deceased family member had their own votive holder, with their name written and wrapped with Vellum paper. Our guests loved this idea! |

Wedding Gift Registry
Were, but decided not to afterall!
Registering was fun,,, we thought,,, traditional, everyone does it. But then we thought, we are planning to purchase a home, monetary gifts would come to great use!!! Plus, I have had a hopechest since I was old enough to date! So, I have pretty much everything I need to get started.
We did use our registry to help out the guests attending our engagement party. Not that we were expecting gifts, but they were asking if we were registered,, thank goodness we were, and just thought it natural to mention that we just so happen to be. We obtained some very thoughtful gifts that day.. our first coffeemaker, our mixer, our Corningware, bathtowels, a lovely crystal fruit bowl and many other gifts! |

Wedding Cake
some ideas for the cake
We wanted a groom's cake, but I decided against it as well... when you are planning a wedding, you decide that the extra expenses could be used elsewhere!
The first photo is the inspiration to what our cake would look like. The body is similar, however the topper was custom made by friends in Brazil. (my hubby is a huge Sly Stallone fan) This was only fitting! |

Wedding Hair Style
Wedding Hair style, what do you think?
I'm not Africian American, but I love this hair style. My mom and MOH who is also my sister says it looks a bit messy. However I am looking at something similar... half up, half down, big loose curls... any suggestions? My hair in my profile picture is short, I am growing it long for August if not, extensions!
Updated info: This is what I ended up doing with my hair. Up, big curls, pulled back. Thank goodness, b/c the weather on my wedding day was 95! |

Wedding Flowers
Calla Bouquets
I've finally decided on Calla Lilly bouquets.
Dark purple for myself and white for my girls.... My fiance will have a mini purple Calla, same colour as my bouquet, and the groomsmen will have a mini white Calla as their boutonierres. I have found them at a great deal! Regular $9.99 at Michaels, down to $4.99 and I got them on 50% day for $2.99 each! I plan on providing the florist with them at a fraction of the cost she would have received them for! Updated Info: Florist was amazing! My bouquet, the flowergirl magic wand, girls bouquets, my mom's corsage, groomsmen's corsage, the head table decor & urns (also used at the church) were put together by her, with my own flowers. The custom church runner idea, painted and put together by myself was found online as well. The camera table signs were also printed by myself. The head table decor where decorations I pulled from the bridal shower, a simple vine wreath, and wine glasses filled with vanilla scented candles. The bridesmaids pearl lettering was found at Michaels for $1.50 each and added a special touch to the bouquets. |

Just a few thoughts
208 days and counting....
Church, reception hall, photographer, videographer, florist - booked
Wedding party - asked dress, bridesmaids gifts, tiara - bought... So many big steps made, so much still to do! But my FH and I promised each other, that when the day came for us to plan our wedding, that we would enjoy every minute of the planning. So many of our friends, that got married before us, commented "If we could do it again, we'd elope!" "Just go to city hall and get it done and over with". If it were only that easy! When you're italian, as we are, there is no other option. Those of you that are Italian, will understand. A few stresses coming up now... centrepiece dilemma is still present.. Presently the centrepieces stay at $45.00 unless I can get any other ideas for a Tuscan themed centrepiece. I need 35 centrepieces. $45.00 is alot for a centrepiece for people that will decide to either use them or not, it's still alot. Any help would be appreciated. We really don't have any ideas on what to get the groomsmen as gifts. Watches, jewelry valets, boxes, bar sets, are not an option. These are gifts that they have received in previous wedding parties that they were part of. We were thinking of something a big more practicial. |

Wedding Decoration
our centrepiece?
hey ladies,
I am having a Tuscan/wine/grape themed wedding... the idea my florist has for a centrepiece is nice but it is very costly. Approximately $45.00 each centrepiece. The idea was a bubble ball with stones and 1 white calla lily twisted in the vase, sitting on a greek style pedestal. Thats it!!! ekk! Any other, useful ideas for a Tuscan themed centrepiece? We want the centrepiece to be more practical then a candle holder!!! This decanter was my idea instead of the bubble ball. (would save us $5.00 each centrepiece!) but the florist stated it would take away from the look "we" were going for.. The black iron votive candle holder was what we actually ended up going with. It went with our Tuscan theme perfectly, our guests loved it! It wasen't junkie, and very affordable. About $7.00 each at Benix. |
