My ceremony is starting at 5pm.. right when the sun is setting!!!
I personally want my reception in the evening.. perfect for dinner time and partying is more fun in the evening! to me! :)

I'm having mine at 11am, an afternoon reception and then an evening party

We are Catholic and apparently at our Parish...YOU get married at 2:00 no if, and's, or but's about it!!!! The have Saturday night mass I guess is the reasoning but I was really wanting more like 2:30 or 3:00 b/c we are only getting the reception hall for 6 hours and I don't want the reception to start at 4:00 and end at 10:00 - I'd rather do more like 5-11 but whatever...we pay and don't get a choice which I don't agree with at all. I think I might just get "cold feet" for 15-30 minutes to stall at 2:00 so I can start at 2:30 - lol

Ours is starting at 4:30pm. I wanted to leave enough time to take pictures after the ceremony without it being dark. (our wedding is outside). reception will follow while sun is setting and will last 5 hours.

Ours was supposed to start at 6:00pm.

It ended up starting at 7:00pm because my husband was late.

We haven't decided about our vow renewal start time.

Our wedding will start at 3:30pm or 4:00pm ........we wanted to get some sunset pics in before the reception & hopefully it will be cooling down. We are havign an outdoor wedding....so we don't want people sweating like crazy!

3 - ceremony starts.
3:30 - ceremony ends. people leave to go to the reception.
4 - ppl arrive at reception so they mingle and have a few drinks whereas we're doing pictures
4:30 - bridal party arrives
5 - dinner begins.

or at least i HOPE it turns out that way! lol.

My ceremony is at 2 pm as im old fashioned and dont want the groom to see the bride until the ceremony...if i had it too late...there wouldnt be enough time for pics and we would have to do them before hand. 4 would work if u had the reception immediately following. My reception is started at 5, dinner at 6

We wanted to do an morning ceremony because I'm totally impatient and don't want to wait all day to get married. Our ceremony is @ noon, and our reception begins @ 1. We're doing the reception at our house, so we'll be partying ALL day.

My ceremony will be at 4pm. Our ceremony, photo spot and reception are all at a golf course, so we don't have to transport anywhere. This leaves us plenty of time for the reception, the fun starts at 6:30pm and lasts until 12:30am.

If if starts on time 4:00PM and reception 5:00PM-10:00PM.

3:30pm.

Some of the things we factored in were:

- placement of the sun (it's an outdoor wedding). We didn't want the sun to be in anyone's eyes, and we wanted the dance to start at around sunset. Dancing in the light is just awkward.

- Traffic. The place we rented was just off a main road, and we were getting married on a Friday. We wanted the ceremony over before the 5:00 rush came.

- Amount of time for pictures. We scheduled about an hour and a half of mingling and picture taking. We didn't need to factor in transportation, since we were doing everything at the one site.

Dinner is to start at 5:00 or 5:30. I can't remember which. :(

Our ceremony is at 3pm. The bridal party is then going to take photos, while the guests go over to the reception for cocktails and apps. Not too sure what time dinner is starting, probably 5:30-6pm :)

ours is a friday night wedding so the ceremony (which will be 20 minutes long) is at 5:30 outside. the cocktail hour starts at 6, dinner at 7. over at 11. Ceremony/reception are at the same place. Receptioon will be inside though. We booked a very photojournalistic photographer so we will have very little posed shots so it shouldnt take more then 45 minutes.

We are starting our ceremony at 5:30 or 6:00...haven't made our minds up yet. I want to have it around 6:00 but one of my BM's is graduating from college the same day and is going to be rushing straight from the college to the reception and getting there just in time to throw her dress on and and walk down the aisle.

Ceremony starts at 4pm...

this is where a good dj comes in or an mc hes the one that keeps your party going so grandma can get to bed lol We have spoke with our caterer and explained that we want to mingle. we will have boxes made up for us to take back to the hotel and that way while everything is being served we can do the first dance then the first toast starts with the first course then the rest of the toasts throughout dinner then we will do the cake cutting and service while cake is being served we will do other dances then the rest of the stuff to follow. it just keeps things moving and things will be going on so will keep an awkward silence out of the crowd.

Our ceremony is starting at 5:30 pm. Sunset will be about 6:30 so we will be able to do a sparkler send off from the church. Dinner will be at 7:30 and then the party starts. My wedding is on a Friday so I was trying to accomadate guests having to work and I also wanted an evening wedding. So romantic! You should have time to do everything. It all depends on how long you have your reception site and how good your dj is, like mrsg said.

our ceremony is at 630pm, followed by cocktail hour, dinner and dancing til 1am. we're doing pictures beforehand. and it's all in the same venue so we don't have to worry about travel time.
