We have our wedding bands!
OMG...I haven't been able to post pictures on my blog for like a month!! I was so bummed out. :( I guess I accidentally had some weird setting on my computer, and I just figured it out.
Anyhoo...my FH just got his wedding band, a 14mm wide Tungsten band. It's gorgeous!! He loves it, its totally manly and rugged and so modern. I have never seen one that wide. I've had mine for a while, but wanted to post pictures again. :) I'm so exited!! Only 30 days to go!! |

Wedding Invitation
DIY: I finished my invitations today!
Well, after much contemplating and "do-overs" on my invitations I finally finished! I feel so anxious about what people are going to think of them...does anyone else feel that way or am I totally crazy.
I bought the Martha Stewart Eyelet Invitation Suite and "jazzed them up" so that they wouldn't be so plain. I just loved the paper, and it was a great value. I bought 3 packages of 40 so that I could do the invitations, insert cards, menus and some programs. I'm only having about 60 people at my wedding. I love the way they turned out, but my stupid dinosaur of a camera - it only has 3 mega pixels...please try not to laugh too hard. :) ...doesn't do them justice. The velvet ribbon is much more of a deeper color than it appears in pictures. I'm not incorporating blue in anything else in the wedding other than my shoes, but felt the invites need a pop of color and I loved the contrast. Anyhoo...let me know what you think. Thanks!! |

I ordered my shoes today!!
After MUCH searching and debating on what type and style of shoe I should get I FINALLY decided!!
I am a Sex and the City fanatic and found these knock-offs of the "Something Blue" shoes that Carrie wore in the movie on Ebay. The only difference is that these don't have such a high heel as the originals, but I couldn't walk in that high of a shoe if I wanted to. I can't wait until they come in!! |

We ordered our flowers!!
We had a very exiting meeting yesterday with our florist. They are amazing!!
The picture is the sample that was made of our arrangements for the altar. We will be having two of these at the church and a scaled down version will be used for the centerpieces. They arrangement was absolutely gorgeous!! The best part is that we got an amazing deal. :) Our grand total for the flowers was $750 (including delivery and set up for both the ceremony and reception) This included: *2 large arrangements for the altar (the one pictured) *5 scaled down versions for the centerpieces *8 pew flower arrangements *3 dozen black magic rose bridal bouquet *3 1 dozen black magic rose bridesmaids bouquets *5 boutenniers (spelling??) *2 corsages If anyone lives in the L.A. area and wants their contact info please just let me know. The only hitch is that it is helpful if you speak spanish. :) Please let me know what you think of the sample!! :) |

I got my bolero today!!!
OMG!! So...if you happened to notice on one of my previous posts I was contemplating ordering my bolero on Etsy, and as it turns out it was the best decision I could have made!!
It is the most beautiful bolero I have seen by far, and it was made custom just for me. I had the maker (maryandangelika on Etsy) add beading and she made it exactly to my measurements. It fits like a glove!! It makes my wedding dress look less ordinary and adds that finishing touch that it needed. I highly recommend her to anyone on the hunt for a bolero. I will post pictures of it with my dress after my first wedding dress fitting this Sunday. :) |

I got my earrings and broach/hair pin
So...I got my earrings and two of the same broach. One to wear on my dress and the other to wear in my hair.
My hair is short (in a bob) so I was thinking I would probably wear my hair in soft finger waves. Emphasizing the soft part of the hair style as I don't want it plastered down to my head. What do you think?? |

I got my wedding band today!!!
I'm so exited! I got my wedding band today. I think I love it more than my engagement ring. It consists of nine .10 carat antique mine-cut diamonds. Back in the 1800's and early 1900's this is how they used to cut diamonds...by hand...instead of using any kind of machinery.
I love that this band has some sort of history to it. It sparkles like crazy...I HEART MY WEDDING BAND!!! :) |
