So it finally came in and have already had my first fitting a couple of weeks back with one more to go which is 2 weeks time. I was actually pretty nervous as I have heard so many brides go for their first fitting and not love the dress as they the first time they tried it on. I can totally see how that can happen and it must feel so disheartening but when I saw it and tried it on I couldn't believe how happy I was with my dress. Can't wait to get it!!

I also attached a pic of how I will have my hair. We didn't do a trial just a consultation and it seems that a half up do will work best. We will have soft curls and I have purchased some hair clips from the white aisle which I will put in my hair as well to finish off the look :-)

I thought when I had bought them they went with the sash (from memory) but not so much but it's ok.
As for the veil you will love it! especially with the swarovski crystals it is so pretty!

Sure not a problem. If I remember correctly the SRP was about 5800 which didn't include alterations ~400/each (I had 2 fittings) and the veil which was 650. I am in Ottawa but drove down to Brampton to L&J which seem to be the only distributor of Jim Hjelm in Canada.....good luck an let me know if there are any other questions!

I have already made my appointment at L&J for July 30th! .. I also found it strange that they are the only ones that carry JH dresses in the GTA. I am a bit nervous that they wont have all of the JH dresses i want to try on. Did you try on any other ruffled dresses there ??? .. Im so excited, I cant wait! .. About the price .. I was figuring it would be that much.. steep, but soooo worth it!

well I bought mine back in october/november time frame so there may be different dresses available. They do have a number of lace ones i tried which were beautiful but couldnt pull off......good luck!!!

skaduk - I also bought this dress from L&J and they had a whole bunch of the Jim Hjelm (And Lazarro) fuffled dresses there! I was in heaven with all of the ruffles!

It's actually in St. John's (where I am from) at a local restaurant in a building that is over a 100 years old......I don't know Ottawa well enough...
