Some pro pics from Marta12 and update
Ladies I feel like I'm behind on everything besides the post yesterday about stuff for sale I haven't been on WBC in almost a month! I started a new job (well I'm doing the same thing but for a different law firm lol) and that's been crazy.
Just this weekend I FINALLY cleaned up the house since the wedding yes I'm terrible procrastinator. Our baby was poisoned sick by some people who have been trying to steal dogs in our neighborhood. She's fine now but the vet bill was insane. I feel like I missed out on sooo many weddings that were happening since May! I would love to hear how everyone is doind and what they've been up to....if you worked on any cool diys tell me I want to visit your blog and see it all! I'm still waiting to hear from a couple people how got free designs but never contacted me...look at the martasmonograms blog please.... anyway I leave you with a teaser of pro pics :) |

Recap wedding day tips/advice and some mini-moon photos
Once again I would like to say thank you for all the comments and messages. They made me feel soooo good!
As I'm waiting on our friends and family to upload the photos they took at the wedding here is a recap and some honeymoon photos. If I only had one sentence to describe my wedding day I would say: It was the best day and night of my life. The days leading up to the wedding were a little nerve wrecking with trying to finish some last minute details, the tulip delivery being a mystery and our ENTIRE bridal party including us being late to the rehearsal LOL Day of I woke up at 6 am and went to the 7 am mass and confession. We didnt have a full mass for the ceremony so this was important to me and I'm so glad I did it. Being in church calmed my nerves and really helped me reflect away from all the wedding madness that TODAY is my wedding day. When I came home I made envelopes for "all" the vendors. TIP/ADVICE: Make envelopes with payments the day before...I forgot to make an envelope for the DJ!!! It all worked out but it could have been smoother. Hair and Makeup (Livia Caporale and Sonia Roselli) arrived right on time and got started on the girls. TIP/ADVICE: If getting ready at home make sure you have enough space for the makeup and hair persons items including outlets for them to plug in their tools and preferably a stool/high chair to get your makeup done. I dont have any high chair but we used a seat cushion to boost ourselves up. In the limo I was fighting back tears but thank God for my sister the MOH who cracked jokes and told funny stories. When we got to church I asked for a couple of minutes to my self. Great Idea! I was able to gather my thoughts and calm my nerves. We started at 3:35 (5 minutes late waiting on some guests to arrive and sit down) not bad at all. Walking down the aisle was like an out of body experience...I was nervous and almost ready to cry when my shoe got caught in my dress and made me trip a little which made me laugh and relax. Ceremony was beautiful. DH was constantly looking at me and TALKING! I had to shoosh him several times, he kept saying how beautiful I looked and this and that each time the organist would play. Later I told him when he plays it does not mean its time for us to conversate. But is was sweet and soooo him and made me feel sooooooo much better. I got chocked up hearing him say the vows but was fine for my turn. Reception was perfect. Everything was set up just the way I wanted it to be. TIP/ADVICE: Take the time to look at everything, your centerpieces, set ups etc especially if you did a lot of things yourself. I was so happy with the way all my hard work paid off. I got sooooo many compliments on everything. My husband went around telling everyone I did everything myself and just boasted and boasted how I made stuff on the computer and bought stuff online to save money etc etc. TIPS/ADVICE: Eat! I was quite hungry by the time we got to the reception but my DOC (Amy Vaught from Vaught Events) was kind enough to make me a small plate with hor doeurves which was much appreciated. Dance! Its your party, mingle a little with your guests and go party! The guests that wanted more time with us came to dance with us! Bring a change of shoes if you're wearing heels. I can normally go a long time in heels but even I got into some comfies to dance the night away...you want to be able to walk the next day! Don't do anything you dont want to/ dont feel like you have to do something. We decided to not do the garder or bouquet toss and trust me noone missed it. The girls were actually glad they didnt have to parade themselves to the front. Pose pose pose! Every moment is a great photo op. Our photographers did a great job following us around and not only taking photos of us two but also of us and our guests! Our guests were delighted to have their photo taken with us by a pro! TIP for location photos. Do a dry run, i.e. visit the location where you will be taking photos and scope out the places that you think will work great. I did and our photo time went sooo smoothly. The photographer obviously had her own suggestions but we had a great starting point. Acknowledge! It doesnt have to be very long but you and/or your husband should take a minute or two during toasts to thank all the important people i.e. everyone for coming. Make sure to thank your parents, wedding party, any guests coming from far away, all long and short time friends, and special people in your lifetime and your new family for welcoming you into their family and most importantly your husband! Everyone was very touched by my words of acknowledgment and appreciated the fact we thought of them amongst our happiness. On Sunday before we left for our mini-moon my mom told me how happy she was with everything especially seeing Dwayne be so loving and attentive on our wedding day. We are not typically a PDA type of couple but he was holding my hand, squeezing and hugging me, kissing me, and dancing every slow song only with me. He gushed to everyone how I worked so hard on the wedding. We got sooo many compliments on everything from flowers to the guest book. My mom said, "I was so touched to see you both so in love and so happy". I truly was, the day was perfect. I love my husband! Dont dwell! naturally there are going to be mishaps laugh it off and keep going you will enjoy much more looking at your pictures where you are smiling than if you are frowning the whole time. When we got to Vegas my husband suprised me with a diamond ring. Perfect mini-moon. We honestly couldnt have picked a better place. Vegas is definitely our kind of place. There are a million things to do, everything is within walking distance, weather is hot but wasn't unbearable. We stayed in a Luxury Concierge Suite at The Palazzo Hotel. Some things we did: Sights: Conservatory at Bellagio, Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, Auto Collections at Imperial Palace, Siegfried and Roy Secret Garden, Gondola Ride at Venetian Shows: PeepShow starring Mel B and Kelly Monaco at Planet Hollywood and Zumanity by Cirque du Solei at New York New York Shopping: Caesars Forum Shops, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, Fashion Show Mall, Premium Outlets mall, Shops at the Palazzo [My husband!!!! bought me a gorgeous Michael Kors bag at the Caesars Forum Shops!] Eats: Restaurant Charlie at the Palazzo, Sportsbook Bar and Grill at the Palazzo, Joes at Caesars, BLT Burger at The Mirage, Serendipity3 at Caesars (Frozen Hot Chocolate!!!), Charlie Palmer Steakhouse, Aureole and Burger bar at Mandalay Bay, Michael Mina at Bellagio |
