DIY Place Cards 1st Try
Working on DIYs...

I started to order more cardstock paper and I realized I didn't know how much paper I needed. I decided to make a couple of things to see how much paper I would need.

Here is my first try at the place cards I posted about before. That was the only lace I had at home so that obviously will be different and the ribbon will be slimmer.

The size of the cards is 4.5 by 4. The lace is 4 inches. And the ribbon (which is glued to the inside is 8 inches). I still need to buy some rhinestone accents. I used a hot glue gun to attach the lace to the cardstock but I don't like how bumpy it is. Any ideas on what kind of glue would be good to attach the lace to the cardstock?

What do you girls think? (Sorry for the quality, I took them with my blackberry)

you might not have to glue them....they look fine just the way they are.

Did you do your own writing or did you print them?

I wrote this one since its a prototype. I might get them printed for the final run or have them written out in caligraphy. How's my handwriting?

Well done, it looks lovely!! Is the lace gonna be a bit narrower? I think your damask card would stand out more with a smaller lace insert. Very chic still!

I like it... I couldn't tell they weren't printed or professionally done.

You want to write mine?  :D

These are so cute. If you wanted to glue them you could just use hot glue and then cover it with the ribbon. I think your hand writing looks good. You could pull it off writing them yourself. DIY  sister!!

They turned out so cute! As for the glue - I would give craft glue a shot? I wonder how good that spray adhesive glue would work too...

Anyways, I thought I would let you know that I found the BM dresses at JC Penney. I tried to find the exact dress for you online (In case you were still looking for a dress to wear for your shower - which would be so cute), but I couldn't find it, so maybe it is already done for the season, but the brand was speechless.
