DIY Save the Dates
I'm creating my own Save the Dates. Not sure yet if they will go on magnets or postcards. I like to give the guests a first taste at the color theme and feel for our reception. I used a picture of the same ring I own which I love, and I'm excited for everyone to see it, especially those that haven't seen it in person yet..

If I put them on postcards I will have lots of room to add extra info on the back. I also like the idea of sending them like postcards and using zazzle to create a stamp with our picture on it (courtesy of lovely chicago knottie).

For those that are interested this was created using photoshop.

What do you girls think? Comments and suggestions are needed :) Does it look too much like a Tiffany box?

I love it!!  (I wouldn't assume it was from Tiffany's at all)....

I also like the idea of a magnet - how clever - and a great way to ensure they won't forget since they'll probably see it every time they open their fridge!

I love the design, especially with the ring engraved with the date. They are gorgeous! As for having people assume your ring is from Tiffany's...I don't think it matters what other people assume, do you? I just don't think it's their business where your ring comes from!

Good luck!

So pretty, never seen anything like it. I only thought Tiffany because of the tag and other Tiffany like items in your blogs.

I love your tiffany blue save the date. Where did you get the idea from?

I love your save the date (Tiffany Theme). Please tell me. Where did you get that from? Is it a template? online? It is beautiful. That's my theme :)

Thank you very much. I made this in Photoshop putting two images (the box and a picture of my ring) together and adding text. I thought of it looking at another picture of a box with a ring on top of it.

WOW....that look LOVELY, so delicate too.

You really have talent Marta! That must be why you got that name too....:)!

It's so...much easier and cheaper to do it yourself and it's fun too...After this, I think I might become a Wedding Planner and you should definitively think about it too...!!! :)!!!!

Thank you so much, that was very sweet.

I have to say however, I don't think I would want to do all this for anyone else. I've spent so many hours researching the littlest details to have my day turn out just the way I want it to. It's fun to do it for me and my FI but I doubt I would want to spend so much time on anyone else. ;)

I'm trying to respond to all the email requests I've got from this. Please be patient I will get to you and do not mind helping you come up with a design (which does not equal inserting your names in the same space our names are).

My desktop compuer is with the geek squad in best buy this week getting a tune up so I can't send any designs since I don't have photoshop on my laptop but I promise to at least respond back to let you know I received your request.

Jared designed our save the dates himself, using photoshop.  He incorporated our engagement picture and of course the names and date of the wedding.  We ordered a box of 4x4 size magnets that we will send out.  It really is something that everyone looks at often; we have one on our fridge from my cousin and the date is permanently etched in my mind!

Oh my god I love this idea. It looks great. I wanted to do magnet save the dates also. I want to make them myself tho so I have to shop around to find the magnets and a way to put my design on them. Any ideas?
