I started to gather pictures of makeup ideas that I like and that I think will look good on me.

Few words about makeup. If you don't wear it on everyday basis I really do not recommend a ton of it for your wedding. I hate when the bride doesn't even look like herself. You should look like a refined version of yourself, that is who your man fell in love with, not someone he can hardly recognize.

I also highly recommend a TEST run of hair and makeup. Looking through some profiles on another site the brides face was TWO SHADES lighter than the rest of her body! That was insane looking.

Now to makeup. If you plan to DIY, go to the mall and have one of the makeup girls try stuff out on you. I highly recommend the Dior and Benefit counters. Chanel girls always want to slap red lipstick on people and give them smoky eyes EW.



Consider the dress you are wearing and the time of your wedding. You should avoid HEAVY makeup for day weddings.

The biggest pointer, take a photo before you makeup artist leaves. This is how your makeup will look on all the pictures. its my rule of thumb when I go out and know will be photographed!

My favorite is Alyssa Milano's. For fun I'm also attaching a color version of the makeup I did for a party we went to (same as in the b&W).

Your picture looks HOT HOT HOT!!!!  Just wait till the wedding day when you have that gown on & your groom sees you struttin' your business down that aisle!!!

I agreee wholeheartedly with the makeup thing.  I love make up, but I don't like to look like I LOVE makeup.  I usually stick with Clinique or MAC because their colors blend well with my dark skin.  And, I love MAC's bronzers & "lipglass" colors.

Nevertheless....I think that the Alyssa Milano or Eva Longoria look would be beautiful on you.  Maybe take elements from both.  Go girl!

Go head girl!!!!!!!!!! I agree with you guys as well....make-up is one of those things you have to test out, cause bad make-up will certaintly ruin pics!  

I think any of those will look very pretty on you good choices!!! But I really like the Karen Mcphee look...very soft and elegant!!!!!

I hired a mac makeup artist to do my makeup.  They really know what they are doing there!!!I already had the test run. It looks great. You can find mac at macys or nordstroms. Also, a little heavier on the makeup is good  b/c of all the pictures you take. I heard from many photogs not to wear shimmery makeup, guess it looks bad in pix .. anyways just an fyi!!:=) good luck!
