Final Draft of the DIY Aqua and Damask Invitations

I finally got my booty to work and created the final version of the invitations.

The embossing on the inside of the pocketfold was done with black archival ink and embossing powder. I would not recommend using embossing pads on metalic paper, it was peeling off.

The paper is metalic white from papernandmore.com. The black is linen also from paperandmore.com

I will be taking them to the postoffice this week to see how much the stamps will be.

WOW!!! These are GORGEOUS! I can't believe they were DIY?!?! You need to start a company... lol... can you explain how you put the damask on the insert cards like that? I'm horrible with technical terms and have no idea what embossing is!

Sorry... another question - what did you use to score them? A boning knife?

The damask on the insert cards is printed. The damask on the inside of the pocketfold is embossed. Emobssing is done by stamping a design, spreading the embossing powder and then heating the powder. I'm not sure what you mean by scoring.

These are absolutely fabulous!!! I like the design on the envelope to do the addresses. How did you make those?

8.5x2 strips can be cut after you print them, in MS Publisher create a 8.5x2 page insert an image so that the center is at 3 6/8, if you chose to type either address create a word art and type, place the return address on the left side and guest address on the right side. Use the multiple print feature, then cut into strips, after the strips are cut use a corner emboss stamp to cut the corners in a design, score the label at the center of the image and fold, apply to the envelope using all purpose glue (applying using a small paintbrush)

wow!! these are beautiful!!! if you don't mind me asking were they expensive? I love the pocket invitations & i went online to look for them and they are SOOOO expensive!! our invitation budget is $300 for everything and we only need about 75 invites

I really love the color and design!!! I'm getting married next year and I'm looking for unique invitation designs. If you don't mind me asking...do you sell invitations though. I don't have a lot of time to do these kind of stuff, so pls. let me know.
