Invitations were mailed!
Our DIY Pocketfolds were mailed on Saturday!

Ladies! I have been MIA because we were trying to finish up our guest count and invitations.

A total of 100 invitations for 190 people invited.

I'm very happy with the way they turned out. Some people already received theirs yesterday and called to say they really liked them.

Post office advice! When you go to weigh your invites, try two or three post offices. First PO told me .59 and the second 1.00. I went to the third one and yes in fact it was 1.00. The size (over 6") the squareness and weigh play a factor.

I did a tally and our DIY invites came out to $2.75 per invitation. $1.00 to mail. Total cost $3.75 per invite.

We did our own cutting because the sample I took to kinkos and sir speedy didn't come out the way I wanted them to. Therefore we printed all of them and cut them (300 inserts and 100 invites) with our critters cutter.

The pocketfolds are from cardsandpockets.

Paper is metallic white from paperandmore. Envelopes and RVSP envelopes are from paperandmore as well.

Now to stalking my mailbox waiting for the RSVPs!!!!

I LOVE IT!!! They are fabulous--

I just finished my pocketfolds on Sunday to be mailed out in two weeks!!  I sent a little more per invitation because I had mine professionally printed and cut-- I know my limitations :)

How beautiful!!

SOOOOO beautiful!  They are to die for!  They look so expensive.  How did you get your damask to look 3-D?  Is that a stamp or did you print them like that?  What a great job on lining up the pattern on the inserts.  Did you round the corners yourself?  You should be very proud, very nice work.  I am getting ready to do my daughters invites soon myself, I got the pocket folds from cards and pockets as well.  I hope I can do as good as job as you did, if not... r u available anytime soon lol

I love them Marta!  They look really great.  I am trying to figure out how to address my envelopes.  I did the clear labels for the RSVP but dont know what to do for the outer envelope.  I like the belly ban but it seems like so much more work.  Anyhow, your invites, envelopes and stamps look FAB!

OMGoodness! What a beautiful job you've done! Who wouldn't come to this wedding? Very nice! I've gotten back 15 R.S.V.P's since Friday and so many comments on our invites from Michael's (hehehee). They say they look so proffessional and expensive...HA! 40 invites for $18.99! Keep up the good work and get started on the programs!

Thanks so much for your comment. I heard about www.papersource.com and ordered my invitations + paper + envelopes and it was a little over $300US, but the colour is fantastic. I also go ribbon for cheap! Anyways, I think that I have the wording for the invitations, response cards, directions, rehearsal dinner, but I'm going to sleep on it for another night or so to make sure that I am 100% confidant. My girlfriend and I are going to work on cutting and glueing together. She is really big into scrap booking and has this really cool cutting machine and we're using rubber cement glue to stick the invitation to the pocket envelope. I will take pictures and post once everything is done. Looks like you are well on your way to getting your wedding organized. Best of luck with everything.
