Ask a Question
Do you want one of these? babies babies babies
So I've been having babies on my mind lately. I'll be 27 this year so I have plenty of time but with all the wedding stuff I've been thinking about our future family.

Dwayne has two older children who will be 15 and 14 when we get married and he's an amazing father. His children adore him and I can't wait for him to be like that with our little one.

I've always wanted a girl...I'm very girly and would love a little girl to shop for, do her hair and have fun with.

We've talked about children before and we want to be married at least for a little while before we have one but will that change once we're Mr. and Mrs.?

So do any of you have had babies on their minds on top of the wedding? I see that some of you already have little ones. Do you think you will have more?

Anyone not planning to not have any?

I always have babies on the mind.... i have my little girl and now i want my little boy....but jeff wants to wait and possible not have anymore because number one he has another child with another woman, and number 2 he doesnt want any more girls.... not to say that he wouldnt love her if we had one.... just that he wants a boy really bad..... i think that we will wait until after the wedding tho because i really want to be my skinnyest for the wedding, and i am still trying to lose the weight from my daughter.....plus we have 2 new little babies coming into the world this year.... jeffs brother will be having one this June a little boy, and jeffs sister(one of my bridesmaids) just found out she will be having one too.... no due date yet tho....

All I can say is that our wedding night will be worth the wait.  Neither of us have kids, we both want kids, I know our baby will be highly cherished & rottenly spoiled to the core!  This won't be the 1st grand for either of our parents, but anytime a baby is born, there is a special newness all in itself.  I know LL is bound to take him/her to some hill & raise him them up like baby Simba.:)  We don't have a timeframe set.  Whenever God says go, we'll jump.

Yes!! I have two kids, and he has two of his own...our kids are the absolute center of our relationship, but we've always planned on having more. Our kids are older (between the ages of 7.5-13) so we would like to have two more ASAP!! Our original wedding date was for 3/15 but we changed it in January...last October we got off of birth control and figured it would take a while to get pregnant, hopefully right around when we got married. Well, we're both super fertile I guess and we got pregnant that first month. Unfortunately I lost the baby in January at 13 weeks. :( It was extremely hard on us and our kids, but it also brought us even closer together...both as a couple and as a family with our kids. We all helped one another heal through it, so I think because of what we went through it will make things even more special when that time does arrive. I've had nothing but this wedding and babies on the bran lately!

I've waited my whole life to be a mom and have a family, but I can wait a little longer.  We are getting married next June, I'll be 23, almost 24, and he'll be 25.  We both just graduated from college, he's beginning his graduate work, and I'm looking for my first teaching job.  Once we are financially on our feet, then we will start talking about babies.  That's the only thing holding us back.  That, and I want to spend a little while (like 2-4 years) just being married and enjoying the alone time with my future husband, getting our marriage firmly on the ground before we have kids.  But I was just thinking the other day about how EXCITING it is going to be to run and tell him that we are pregnant!  I know it will definitely be worth the wait.

We already know we want kids--we're going to try to have them in late Mid June-early July because I don't want to have to do a maternity leave in the middle of the school year. We might try to start conceiving this late August, or we'll wait until the following August. We know we want 2-3, but we disagree on how far apart in age we want them to be.
Good luck!

We've got our 3yr old little girl and we agreed we'll start trying for Baby nr2 in the month of the wedding. This way if I get pg I still won't have the morning sickness, which I suffered from in my first pregnancy. We've wanted a second baby for a while now but with the wedding on and having to fit into a wedding dress, we put it off. But in a few months hopefully we'll have a 2nd one on the way.

I want kids but am definitely not ready, they're like puppies to me, cute when they live with someone else. I'm going to have to have some serious maternal urges kick in first.  I'll be 28, my fiance only 24 when we get married. He really wants kids but isn't ready either. I (hopefully!) will start a PhD program the fall after we mary so that'll leave 3-5 years that I can't have one, then once I graduate we should be making good money and have a nest egg built up. We can move back to Texas so we'll have the family to help babysit. They definitely owe me some!

I don't think we want kids. We might adopt later when we're older but I don't see myself being pregnant any time soon.

First of all thank you for your congrats, the same to you. As for babies on the mind, you know it. I have baby fever and have had baby fever for the longest time. But, I am trying to be smart right now. My fiance and I will not be only getting married next year, we will be moving to a new state come this summer. So, we have soooooo much to think about, and do. Most of all, to stress about. Him and I both want to be in a position (which won't be till AFTER the wedding) where all I have to do is concentrate on mine & our babies health. I am 28 and feel older every day. I want to be a Mom. I think Mom's are very special. You see I had a miscarriage in Jan of 2007, and it killed me and almost did the same to Levi. So, if we get pregnant now it won't be good for baby or me with all the added stress of moving and planning a wedding. I guess what I am trying to say is, let nature take it's caourse AFTER the wedding. Enjoy being newlyweds for a while. 'Cause once a baby is in the picture things won't be the same. It doesn't mean things will be bad, they just won't be the same.

I have a little boy, and I can't wait to have more (hopefully a girl in 4 years or so!!).  When it happens, it happens.... somehow everything just works out perfect.

Being a mommy is the best job ever.

Funny you mention it! I was sitting on the computer the other day looking at baby items online and I literally felt my biological clock gave me a big kick in the pants. Victor (my fiancee) was sitting by me and I turned to him and told him that he better run as fast as he can because you better believe babies are on my mind! :) I think I scared him a little (ok, maybe a lot). But I definitely have babies on my mind!

I was always okay with 1 child only. My fiancee doesnt have any, so he wants 2 bad. We met in the middle and I told him i will have 1. I am not getting any younger! My son is 9 now. Also with all the baby showers I have been going to makes me want one, but then the changing of diapers sets me straight for a while:=)

I definitely have baby fever!! It is really bad. Me and my fiance already have names picked out for a boy and girl. I really really want a girl! Mike cant wait to have one either. Honeymoon here we come. haha. I want to tell him in a special way that I am pregnant. I get butterflies in my stomach just thinking about it!

Hehehe its actually funny that I ran across this post today. My husband to be and I have been together for six and a half years and are getting marrried in August 2009. We already have a beautiful 3 and a half year old together and just this morning found out we are expecting yet again! We are both so excited, we werent trying but about a montha nd a half ago we had decided that we would let nature take its course and if it happened it happened. So I definatly have babies and weddings on my mind lol =P Good luck to you and your future husband and I wish you many many years of happiness :)

Have you ever been told that you can't have something and that makes you want to have one even more then you did to begin with?  Well thats me, I was informed that the possibilities that I would ever bear a child are slim to none because I am trying to prevent cancer that for some reason doesn't want me to prevent it.  The worst part is I was 18 when it all started...I am only 20 now..but my FI has already told me that no matter what we will have a child together wether biological or not.  So that makes me happy in way.
