Sophia Tolli Skye
Sophia Tolli Skye back
"THE" One?
How did you know? Did you find yours?
After my visit to the house of brides and trying out two new styles I haven't considered before I went back online to find more dresses in those styles and I came upon a Sophia Tolli gown (how did I miss it before????) that I think is THE one. Of course I will have to try it on but as soon as I saw it I actually saw myself wearing it. Did anyone else have that happen to them? Did you just know you would look great in a dress you saw before you tried it on? Or did you think that, tried it on and it was a total mess?

I present to you: Skye

THE DRESS I HAVE I LOVE, I KNEW IT WAS THE ONE i KNEW IT WHEN I TRIED IT ON. i KNEW IT BECAUSE I COULDN'T THINK OF A PRETTIER DRESS.
BUT BEFORE HAND I HAD A FAVORITE DRESS THAT I SAW IN A MAG, I WENT INTO A RETAILER TO TRY IT ON AND I DID NOT LIKE IT ON ME AT ALL.

I wonder about that all the time! I can't try on dresses yet, but I have a feeling when I do I am going to come away with some very different then what I thought I was going to. It really does depend on what makes you feel beautiful once its on. I think this dress you like is gorgeous, just like you, but you have fabulous taste and I didn't expect any less :)

I've been thinking about this dress for what feels like years.  I figured out pretty quickly after shopping around that I would have to get my dress made.  After searching and thinking and sketching I've finally decided exactly what I want and a friend of mine is going to make it for me!  So, basically, I didn't have to find the one :)

I had so many ideas of what I wanted, but ended up in a totally different direction! I wanted tea length (one that I had pictured myself in), but I ended up with a gorgeous dress, which was the total opposite. I could never find the tea length dress in stores, so I tried on others and thought of ways to modify them. But then I tried on the dress that I picked and I knew it was for me! I wasn't sure about it on the hanger, but as soon as I stepped into it, I knew!
The dress you have pictured here is also gorgeous! I am positive it will look wonderful on you! Just just have to try it and see if you feel even more beautiful in the dress! And then you will know!

A week after Jay proposed I went out and got some bridal magazines. And there it was, AA 1516, The One. It took my breath away. I tried it on and I absolutely loved it on me. But then I decided to have a go at other dresses as well, just to see if they would do it for me the same way as the AA dress did. Never happened. So at that moment I KNEW I only wanted that dress.
One thing was funny though; from day one I knew that I didn't want a puffy Cinderella style dress. Then my friends made me try one on and it actually looked pretty good on me, it looked kinda quirky. So that taught me the lesson of never say never, once again.

I'm so happy you found THE dress!  What a great feeling!  I thought I knew what I wanted..something champagne & strapless.  Go to try on dresses 5 days after getting engaged, & fell in love with a diamond white dress!  It was perfect & the crowd was cheering!  Well...the crowd was my mom, sis & some lady's with their bride friends.  But, it still qualifies as "crowd" :)

How did you like House of Brides? I ended up being really disappointed in their lack of selection, hey had so much on the website then had so few of them in stock. I still haven't found THE dress and it's begining to feel like I'll never find it. I would definetly try Skye on, when I ended up trying on the all lace gown I thought would be me it ended up not being flattering on my body shape so definetly try you might be suprised and end up loving it like you thought. Happy shopping and let me know how it goes!

Every dress I saw in a magazine that i thought I would love, i really didn't like. I have tried on 2 that were breath taking but I'm not likely to get either. The first was too traditional for me (strapless, big skirt) and the other I'm moving away from if we decide for sure against the garden wedding. If we do the ceremony in the same location as the reception, I want something mre glamorous. My current favorite th girl in the store picked. I never would have thought I would go for it. Of coarse, i would have looked at the price tag first and not tried it on; if it wasn't for the price I would have bought it. I haven't posted the pic cause I just want to forget about it. $1500 over my budget :(

My situation is unique..My dress was the first dress i tried on and I bought it. After I saw this dress i knew i didn't want to bother trying on any more. I am a fan of sparkles so the dress caught my eye right away. As soon as i put it on that was it. The bodice fits great, a nice A-line and a splash of color with the sash. I LOVE IT.

By the way, your dress choice is gorgeous!!!!
