So its for sure... my bridesmaid will not be able to make it. I completely understand because of her situation with her husband, and I feel so bad she bought her dress and now she can't use it! But now I don't know what to do!?!?! Do I get another bridesmaid or do I just have 4 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen? If I get another bridesmaid I really don't think I could get the dress in 3 weeks and it will look dumb if I just have 4 bridesmaids... who will the 5th groomsman walk down with? Kinda lame to walk down by himself. WHAT SHOULD I DO????

Just have the girls walk down the aisle alone and the men standing beside your groom.  Our bridal party is completely uneven!

I know what I'm about to say is crazy but here is a long shot, do you know anyone that can fit the dress that your bridemaid brought already and don't mind being in the wedding last minute.

U can two groomsmen walk with one bridesmaid.alot of people are doing that if the bridal party is uneven

I love the idea of altering the dress if possible.  If not could the extra groomsman perhaps walk the mothers/grandmothers down the aisle to their seats?

Hate to be brutally honest- It is not a big deal at all to have 4 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen.  There are a lot worse things in this world to be stressed about.  

Your friend just lost her husband- who cares about your number of people in the wedding.  Think about how awful your friend must feel- she is a widow.
