This is mecrumb's Purple Wedding!

I am not really much of a drinker and really don't like champagne much. In September, I went to a Bride Show where they had a booth for Fancy Sparkling Cider. It tasted just like Champagne without the dry, alcohol taste!!! Well to me anyway. I decided to buy it for my wedding toast, and now am worried that my guests will think we are cheap. I already bought the cider, and know it is my day so I shouldn't care what other people think, but you still do worry! Plus, we are already having an open bar.

The cider was a good deal I think. It was $62 for 12 bottles and they ship to your house for free. If anyone likes this idea too.

I really don't know much about alcohol, but I think this is cheaper than the whole Champagne route anyway.

Does anyone else have the worst time getting anyone to call you back as far as vendors go?
I am most frustrated with the caterers. I have been working on trying to hire a caterer from the list my reception site gave me since October. Hopefully, it isn't me. heehee :)

My brother made this Save-the-Date template for me in photoshop. The text looks better when it is on the magnet, for some reason it doesn't show correctly. Anway, I just uploaded it into VISTAPRINT.COM. It was so easy to do and they have envelopes to fit that are really cute. Vistaprint is having a sale right now that is 50% off most items and free shipping. I also got 140 address labels with a bride and a groom on them for free. CHECK It out.....sale ends very soon but things might go on sale again soon. Last night I went to upload my magnets and they were one price...I had to stop and finish later that night.. by then the magnets were on MORE of a sale.. so keep checking.

I just found these wreaths on OrientalTrader.com. They were only $6 each (on sale from $18). I bought 10 of them to decorate all the doors to my reception Hall. I think they will be really pretty, once I add a few ribbons or something. Any ideas?

I want to order save the date magnets from Vistaprint, but I noticed they don't come with envelopes (unless I didn't notice it). How have any of you ordered these magnets? If so, how did you mail them out??

I did not buy my dress from David's Bridal, but they have the coolest tool on their website. Go to www.davidsbridal.com and click on "dress your wedding." You can actually create your wedding party and make the people, Asian, Hispanic, Plus size, you name it. It was very helpful for me to visualize my wedding and come up with a color scheme and a style- even if you don't end up buying the dresses from there.

I am thinking about having my bridesmaids walk down the aisle with feather fans instad of flowers and feather hair pieces. Does anyone know where I can buy these inexpensively or how to make them?

I have three "Bridesmaids"and a "Brides Gentleman" for my attendants, and my FH has three "Groomsmen" and one "Groom's Lady" as his attendants. I am playing with the idea of Purple for a Bride attendant color and silver for the groom attendant color. This would mean that three bridesmaids and one brides gentlemen would be dressed in purple and three groomsmen and one groomslady would be dressed in silver. Is this a crazy idea or should I just dress everyone in purple? PLEASE HELP- none of my friends or family can help me decide. I think I am trying to make things too complicated......
