Honeymoon!!!
Its booked and paid for!!
We're renting a exclusive cabin in the Adirondacks!!! It's not a campsite cabin where tons of screaming little kids will be up early and running around... it's going to a romantic week, alone, together, in the mountians. We're leaving the cellphones off, and just completely getting lost in each other's presence and I cannot wait. It'll be a nice break from the busy, loud, and fast paced world we're use to. We leave Sunday morning after the wedding, and check in when we get up there that afternoon. I am sooooo excited. so tell me what do you think?? cute idea?? kinda romantic right?!?! |

little about us
5 years and 2 days. Did you get the ring you wanted? OMG, its gorgeous. Was the proposal a complete surprise? yeah. It was not what I expected I would have happen to me less than a week before my college graduation! Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? I wouldn't trade my ring for the world. its perfect. the size. the stone. the cut. Did you cry when he proposed? I freaked out! I tackled him when he got down on his knee with the ring box and clicked it open. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like. it was so him. he was too nervous to do it when he took me out to dinner, so he did it in our apartment, the night before a big final paper was due that determined if I earned my degree or not. When do you want to go for your honeymoon? the week after the wedding :) we're leaving sunday. Are you buying his wedding band for him? yes <33 Have you gone over your original wedding budget? in some places, and under in others. What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday, July 18th, 2009. What kind of weather? I hope sunny, but not tooo hot. Inside or outside? Inside, not risking the weather. Church/justice of the peace/other? Our Church - He's becoming Catholic. ? How many people will be there? we chopped the list down to just over 250. Time of day? Wedding ceremony begins at 1pm sharp. Any kind of theme? PINK! How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? Jen - MOH - college friend Erin - MOH - college friend Liz - BM - groom's sister Christa - BM - college friend Katie - BM - groom's sister What kind of cake/what will it look like? vegan. no egg. anyone wanna make me.... no one seems to want to. What kind of dress will you have/color/material? It's a strapless Christina Wu gown with lace, glass beads, and pearl accents. (Gene promised he wouldn't read this) What kind of flowers in your bouquet? Bright Pink, Light Pink, White Roses with little white somethings that have pearls in them ($5 a pop, and theres like 12). but I love love love it. Kind of engagement ring? White gold. Three Stone. Perfect. Kind of wedding bands? we just picked them out wanna see mine them... mine then his.   How will you wear your hair? half up half down with curls galore. Who will be important to be there? eugene and myself is all I need there. the other 250 people are added bonuses. :] Will the reception be big or small? it's gunna be a riot! What will the groom wear? black collar shirt, white vest, black tux, black shoes, white tie. How old will you and the groom be? I'll be 23, He'll be 24. How long will you be engaged before you get married? two years. Live together before or wait till married? yeah. I think its a good idea, then you can't play the 'I didnt know what it was like to live with them' card. Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? took my time now its 6 months before and I'm busting chops to get it done. Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? me and 'mom'. haha. |

Our names are on the tapered candles, and our married names, our date, and a quote are on the center candle. I am in love with it. My Dress For The Big Day!!!!!
so right after i posted my last post about my garment bag, i realized i still haven't posted any pics of my dress. Its made by Christina Wu, and is the dress of my dreams. Its covered in beads, pearls, satin, and lace. I love how it fits, and mom broke down crying when she seen it on me. I cannot wait to wear it!! less than 6 months left!!! Finally bought my shoes!
I live in heels, I perfer them over sneakers so the 3 inch heel shouldn't be a problem for the march down the aisle!! I am so excited I cannot wait to wear them!! Open toe means fresh pedicure for the wedding! :) Another step closer to the big day!! 179 more to go. uh oh!! What do you think?? |

Vegan Cake?!?
Anyways, I'm having a really hard time getting the cake places to make a cake without egg, and the one who said they woud - use gelatin, which is made from animal products. Their reasons all lead back to the fact that egg makes the cake stiffer so when you layer it, or put decorations on it, it doesnt sink. la-te-da. I still need a cake! AND I KNOW VEGANS EAT SOME KIND OF CAKE!!! Anyways a family friend who is very good at making cakes said she would make a trial cake if I found a vegan cake recipe that is stiff enough to support layers. Any good recipes?? I really need your help!! |
