Wedding Budget
Wow, it has been a while!
Geeeesh, I think the last time I was on here was near the end of January. How are all of the bride to be's and brides doing?
As for me, nothing much has gone on... I started taking online college classes. I work 24/7, and I sleep. What a life! There has not been alot of planning my way :( Not even for sure if we are even having a wedding. I'd like to, but we talked about some other things. Contemplated just doing it at the court house or while we are in Vegas in May (shooting in the BCA pool tournaments) and throwing a big party afterwards. Although I have already had one wedding ( which was a total failure and I never had an opinion on anything) I would love to have a FANTASTIC one this time. One thing stands in our way..... MONEY! I am the only one working right now (Thank you Mr Economy) and he is also in school getting a degree for information technology... So right besides a few low paying side jobs that he has, My income is the only one we depend on at this moment. That is pretty much why I have been absent for a while. I have been kind of down about the whole situation. Anyone have any tips? And do not tell me to ask the parents.... That is a no go lol. |

Central IL brides? HELP!!!
If there are any central Illinois brides ( Peoria, Bloomington, Springfield area) Do you have any reccomendations on Caterers or limo services that are fairly decent price? We are on a tight budget and having a hard time finding either of these in a decent price.

CENTERPIECE... NEED OPINION.
Ok, we are on a real tight budget. We are have our hearts set on the whole "glass vase, water, candle" vision as shown in both pictures. Thing is, we really dont want to spend a million dollars on stones for the bottom of the vase. Thought about sand, but unsure how it would look with Hot pink and Orange sand with water, flowers, sand and the floating candle. Also i like the idea of the floating flower with the little votives surrounding it, but would it look too plain? I need your opinions ladies, and if you have any examples with sand, could you let me know? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Cant find Cute but Cheap Hot Pink or Orange Champagne Flutes!!

Such a cute idea for favor bags
I ran across this WAY CUTE idea while looking on www.favor-days.com. For those of you who are doing a candy buffett, and have the little bags with the handles on them ( like the included picture ) Why not tilt them to the side, layer them, add some flowers to the top, and make a favor box cake. Never seen anything like this, and I think it would make one hell of a piece on your buffet table!!

Engagement pictures Booked!
YAY, Spring HURRY UP!
So I contacted one of my dear friends who does photography on the side, and does a fantastic job!! I asked him if he would be interested in doing our engagement pictures once spring hits. I also told him to give me a price and I would pay him. WELL , I knew first off, he would do it. But to my suprise, HE IS NOT CHARGING ME!!! YAY!!!!!

Wedding Favors
Cd's HALF DONE!
So there is this site named www.Freecycle.org that I go to and its stuff thats still works or is in good condition that people do not want to throw away so they put it on this site for free. So the other day this lady put on the board OFFER: 60-80 empty cd cases.
I so jumped on the offer but I was not the one who recieved them. So I said the hell with it and put a wanted add for empty cd cases. The guy who ended up getting them said his son took the ones he needed and is willing to give me the rest. So there saves some money on cd cases. As far as getting them done, I am in no Hurry, considering there is 16 months left until the big day. We still have to put together the list of songs and decide what picture we are going to use for the cd cover. However, I do have to pink and orange ribbons ready to put on the cases after completion. Is a brides work EVER DONE???? lol |
