The Proposal

I suppose this is where I should start..

The day began like any other. It was a Saturday and I was going to do some shopping while my boyfriend worked on the garden at our home (he's a champ). I even went and saw a movie by myself, thats how bored I was while he was working at home. I've never seen a movie by myself before and it was acutally really fun.
Anyway.. so I came home and did some house work, mopped and vacuumed the floors and we chatted about what we were going to do that night.
We both decided that since we had no special plans for the night, we were just going to go and do some grocery shopping because the cupboards were empty.
While Kieran was showering I waited for him in the kitchen. He dressed then came out and was very quiet. I got up to leave and he was behind me on one knee right there in the kitchen. He stumbled with his words managing to get out "I was wondering if you would marry me". I said "Yes" straight away then burst out crying.
He chose the most perfect ring, if I had to choose I would have picked this one.
The proposal was definitely not fancy, but I loved it. It will be something we will always remember, being right there in our kitchen with our puppy sitting at the door looking up at us. It was spontaneous and very surprising for me. he didn't really plan the night however he had the ring for 3 months before he asked me.
He told me later that he had had a moment of clarity that day and just decided it was the right time. We picked up a bottle of bubbly and took to his mum and dad's to celebrate... we didn't end up grocery shopping :)
He had asked my dad while i was vacuuming!
