Here is the bridesmaids style dress I've chosen, except it will just go straight at the bottom and won't have a train at the back.
We're having them made by a dressmaker so here is the material I've chosen as well. Its a champagne pinky colour. The lace will then be put on over the top like an applique. The lace will just be at the top around the bust then around the gathering in the middle (like where is is in the picture)
The dressmaker said it will be fine for her to make and the cost is not even that much, since we're getting all the material first. Since I'm having 6 bridesmaids we've been able to save by having them made.
The style and colour will all suit the girls and I just love the lace.
The only thing I want to change about the dress in the picture is I want it to have more of a sweet heart neckline.
This is exactly the colour I had in mind, it was so hard to explain what I wanted because its not a colour thats seen often. But once I saw this material swatch it was exactly it. Champagne pink even with a hint of a little mocha. I hope it turns out ok, I can see it in my head but I hope it comes together that way
It was really important to me that the girls have something they felt they could reuse. The question we were asking ourselves during our dress shopping trips was "would I wear this to church".
I know that people won't get you and the bridesmaids mixed up, nor is bridesmaids wearing white (or in this case off-white) a bad thing, it's just not for me.
But, if you're having a really fancy wedding, this could look really classy.
The wedding will be formal and fancy
