No tuxes for groomsmen?
Is anyone else doing "alternative wear" for the groomsmen? We haven't decided for sure yet, but we're leaning towards not renting tuxes. Instead, they would wear their own black dress pants and shoes, and we would pick out nice blue dress shirts and ties that matched our colors. So they would still match each other, but it hopefully wouldn't be as expensive (and they could keep the shirts afterwards, instead of returning a tux). It's not nearly as formal, but that's probably okay. And it means there would be more color on stage. I'll post on the bridesmaid dresses later, but obviously we want the groomsmen/bridesmaid colors to go together well.

We aren't renting the groomsmen tuxes. It looks nice in pictures, but our wedding is in the summer and I don't want them sweating to death in those heavy black suits! We are doing either white or sage green long sleeve dress shirts. I think this still looks very nice and clean cut. Plus they feel more comfortable. If my budget sways some I might rent them out just a vest to go with it.

We aren't doing Tuxes either! Way too formal for our wedding ! especially since it is in the Islands on the beach and the summertime. We are actually doing tan Linen Pants with white linen shirts (perry ellis - pants, J Crew - shirts) and bare foot! :) It's going to look fantastic! and the men are going to be So comfortable. You definitely don't need to have a tux - with all of the different looks out there - do something more suited (pun intended) to you  :) Good luck  - and the image above looks great!

No tuxes for the best man or the groom (there aren't any other men in the wedding). Both will be wearing tan colored suits. The groom will wear an ivory shirt with a pool tie and the best man will wear a blue shirt with a striped blue tie I bought him.
