10 days left and its all falling apart!

Omgoodness ladies I dont know how much I can take I have bawled for 3 hours now. In one day I found out that my real father refuses to do a father/daughter dance with me and my preacher called and said he cant marry us cuz HE IS GOING ON VACATION! my wedding is in 10 days .....well suppose to be....I dont know what I'm going to do
all I know is that I'm emotionally exhausted after tonight. All I wanna do is marry the love of my life..

why is this so hard!

hey ladies just wanted to let you know we did find a minister, he is our original minister's nephew. so yay! lol and as for the father daughter dance, I'm over all the drama. If he doesn't wanna dance w/ me then he doesn't deserve it. I'm not gonna say anything, atleast now anyways. After the wedding I think I'm going to say alot of things that I have been bottling up for years! but that is a whole different story lol.

have you called the church to arrange a replacement? deep breathe girl. the wedding will go ahead. Worst thing come to worse is that you can online register one of your friends and can get them to do the wedding maybe?

Oh, MeMe! I so sorry to hear this! Girl, this is a big test for you! If you already have your marriage license, you have two options.

1. You can see if you can find someone to marry you from on line or the yellow pages, like craigslist and look for an ordained minister.

2. You can go to City Hall/courthouse in your town and have them marry you guys alone or maybe with a couple of witnesss, then celebrate on your planned wedding day with your guests as a reception?

That's an option if you can't find anyone first. You are going to be married anyways. I know it's not like how you wanted, but the wedding must GO ON! Keep us posted.

the minister is suppose to call me back tommorow, he said he had some contacts that he was going to get ahold of to see if they could replace him. Ive also got a couple numbers of some ppl myself tonight, so I'll call those in the morning.

Oh yes, if you get married at City Hall/Courthouse, you guys can write vows for the planned wedding location in front of your guests! That will be romantic anyways. Who needs all that blah, blah, blah? It can work Meme, don't panic! Get some sleep tonite and get on the computer and phone tomorrow and handle task #1 from above. By next week if no luck, go to the City Hall/courhouse and do it there! Have a wonderful wedding regardless with the guests with your own personal vows? I wish I was there to help coordinate for you?

Agree totally with Rhonda. Lots of ways around it! Either a replacement or City Hall. All her suggestions are great. Also if you decude to get married at City Hall, you can hand select a friend or relative to oversee the ceremony on your wedding day which could be really beautiful.

Ugh I just got finished commenting on your previous post, then saw this. I'm so sorry! But your pastor should definitely be somewhat held responsible for doing everything he can to find a replacement. And if not, the girls had a good idea of doing the "real" ceremony at the court house, then somewhat replicating it with vows in front of your guests. Just remember that no matter how many things seem to be stressful/wrong...at the end of the day, you'll still end up with the blessing of marrying your love :) Hang in there. I'm praying for you today!

I agree with Rhonda! You definitely need some R&R and then Mission: Marry My Man needs to come into full effect! LOL!

Hey ladies, no good news yet, I actually just woke up. My fh made me a super hot bubble bath last night and I went straight to bed after and it felt good to sleep in, I think I slept away some of that stress, Anyway I just wanted to thank you ladies so much for being so encouraging when your in the middle of what feels like a disaster its hard to see the light! I know no matter what goes on, I have my wbc girls to rally me on! Alriight now I'm gonna get my butt in gear and hopefully I'll have good news to share later.
