Wedding Flowers

LOVE these flowers. i don't like roses but i came across these and loved how full the petals looked. i'd like to do a bouquet with these, some hydrangea, freesias and some tiny little mums, all in white.
does anyone know if these are expensive or hard to come by during august? |

Wedding Invitation
I think I finally got it..
so the invitations. this was an area where i figured would be a great place to save some money and would be fun to do since i really like doing things like this. but my indecision nearly killed me as i took literally months of changing fonts, colours, layouts, pocketfold styles, paper types.. and on and on.
but i woke up this weekend and said i'm making a decision and sticking with it. so here is what i came up with! it served 2 really important purposes for me: #1 inexpensive- it takes very little paper to make. #2 easy - i could whip up many of these in a short amount of time (thank goodness, i need 120!) i hope it fits our wedding style too - casual, fun, modern, simple. |

after a few weekends of running around trying on what seemed like hundreds of dresses, we finally found one we all liked and looked fantastic in!! we ordered this dress in this colour. it was so much fun to shop with my girls and in some way i was actually kinda sad when it was all over. but it definitely felt good to get that out of the way and i can't WAIT until they come in and i can't wait to see them all in it!
they'll be holding a bouquet of yellow flowers. so now i'm wondering, what type of necklace would go with the dress? i'm planning on buying necklaces for all my girls and etsy has MANY beautiful necklaces at great prices. i'm thinking a simple necklace with a solitary pearl or small cluster of pearls. any thoughts? |

Catching up
it's been almost a FULL year since i last posted! im not entirely sure why that is but i think at the time there really wasn't that much planning going on since the wedding was SO far away.
well now it's only 150 days away (insert freaked out stare here) so i've been getting to work. i've been able to get a bunch of things out of the way but still a BUNCH of decision making to do. here is what's left - invitations (i can't make a decision - help!) - finalizing flowers (i had thought i wanted gerbera's but after seeing the silk mock up my florist made for me, i don't think i want that anymore) - bridesmaid gifts (i've already purchased the clutches but i still haven't decided on which necklaces to get) - reception decor (table runners or table squares?? i can't decide either) - shoes (can't find a pair i like) - jewelry (do i wear a big necklace, small necklace, pearls? can't decide here either) but this is the fun part... right? |

Wedding on the brain...
i love my girls so i really, really, REALLY want to make sure they are buying dresses they also love and can use again. so when i came across this dress, i just knew that this was going to be way easier than i thought! we haven't been able to all go together to try them on but after showing everyone this dress, they all got excited! can't wait to see these on them - they are going to look amazing!

Wedding Favors
hmmm..
i saw this on the knot and knew we HAD to have it! we're both elementary school teachers and pencils as wedding favours totally represents and suits our wedding! i can't wait to see how ours will turn out - a gray pencil with yellow font. i'm thinking i'll just attach a ribbon and tag with the favour instead of the big card but either way, i think it will be fantastic!

So I guess it's time I start my own..
So after MONTHS of creeping around, I figured it was time I put together my own blog. Slowly but surely I will put this all together! Right now, we are looking at a gray wedding with pale yellow accents. How come no gray Wedding by Color?! Gray is in!! :)
We got engaged last July during a summer trip to Vancouver so though the planning is definitely slow going - we are enjoying EVERY single minute of being engaged and looking forward to our wedding! |
