Sunny Skies- Just as I had predicted
Sunshine and love- what else could we have asked for?
It was a perfect day- just as I had planned! Just kidding...but we had hoped for sunshine so that our plan to be married on the rooftop of Atlantis could happen and indeed it did!
Good weather, great friends, spectacular views of our city in the background, lots of food and plenty of wine...everyone was happy; including us...and to be honest a little relieved to be done with all the planning tags:

Hair Style
Up or down- that is the question...
Right now it looks like it will be up, but I'll let the magnificent Jenni Smith, good friend and great hair stylist decide what will work best.
All of these pics are contenders at this point... tags:

The Proposal
The Birks Box- for us Canadian girls this is as iconic as the Tiffany box.
After one of the worst weeks ever; it started with me slipping and falling off the bus on my morning commute to work. A concussion, a few bruises and a provincial ticket for not having my transit pass on me on the train (I lost it when I fell), Colin redeemed the week with a wedding proposal! I has no idea; didn’t see it coming at all.
I worked late that Friday, so by the time I got home I didn’t want to do anything at all. Colin the sweetheart he is, decided to do some chores around the house- including fixing my dresser drawer which I broke that morning. While I watched TV, Colin went about his chores. When he asked me to grab his tool kit from the other room, I brought it in to him, in need of an extra hand Colin asked that I grab his screwdriver out of the tool kit. When I reached in all I found was a Birks box! On one knee (another big surprise since we are not very traditional) Colin asked me to open the box. After a minute of stunned silence I opened the box to find the most perfect ring! Of course I said “yes”! Colin had my favourite champagne chilled, so we sat back and with a glass each and started calling family. It was just before midnight so calls to friends had to wait till the next day. tags:

Wedding Dress
First impressions are everything!
How many of you ladies ended up with the first dress you tried on? I did. And I can’t wait to wear it…it is probably my favourite wedding detail yet.
I still need shoes and a veil (maybe). tags:
