Ask a Question
has anyone decided on fat burners instead of diet pills?
So I'm feeling my weight go up instead of down due to summer bbq's and many cocktail hours (way too many)! My normal weight is 5 lbs lower than what I am now, but I want to lose 9 lbs as more of a buffer to get through the holidays.
Has anyone gone on fat burners? They're not diet pills, they're in place to help you burn fat while working out. Theres a great pill out there according to a friend called Lipo 6 hers, has anyone tried it (with exercise)? I'm planning to start Monday, will keep you posted :) wow only 260 days to my wedding, I can't believe how fast time passes! xo to our October brides |

wedding planner
Am I cheating on FH with my second love? ;) lOl
sooooooooooooo last week I met with James Tramondo and I absolutely LOVE him!
We talked about my wedding, my plans, ideas, etc, and he WILL be my wedding planner! hes so fun and energetic! After 2 hrs, he talked about the show, Whose Wedding is it Anyway and asked if I was interested in being a bride on the show (honestly enough I think because of my guest list and the bridal party), but I rolled with it and said we'll think about it.. Immediately after I said that he said... OK LETS GO SHOPPING!! OMG I love this guy! We left and checked out a vineyard in LI, our favors are going to be homemade bottles of wine. There are 3 favored places so we checked them all out to see which was the best location, had the best selections, prices, wine making schedules, etc.. we had a blast! So once January hits we'll be more in touch! I leave for spring training in Feb and when that happens, hes the 100% decision maker/planner! I'll be too busy to do anything from that on, can't wait for that to happen! <3 |

DIY Wedding
FH complaint... I'm watching the wrong show! :P~~
So today FH over heard me talking about the wedding plans, he decides to talk about how out of control our "budget" is and how he's ready to block shows like platinum weddings from our tv's.. hmmm that sounds bad! lol
I haven't really gone into details here about my plans, but most of them are.. grande? :) rehearsal dinner on the spirit of ny, ceremony by the water, including male and female soloist, sand ceremony, group unity candle lighting reception HUGE and ELEGANT, flowing sheer around the room, fuchsia uplights, martini louge, leather lounge furniture in a section by one of the bars, small flatscreen tv on the other bar showing our photo sessions and live edits of wedding day photos, cigar bar outside, signature drink, passed hor' dourves, photo booth, 3 cakes, raw bar, etc etc the list seems endless, BUT damn its going to be a blast! :) |

Bridesmaids
the girls picked dresses yesterday
I took the girls to pick dresses yesterday, we had so much fun!
Maid of honor is in apple green Bridesmaids in fuchsia and Flowergirls in ivory organza with apple green sashes. Most of the bridesmaids picked the same dress, but 2 went with different ones, I just told them to pick a matching fuchsia in whatever designer and style they wanted (in chiffon).. The week after my wedding we're going all over nyc to take wedding party photos (on and off a limo bus), satin would look so wrinkled in the photos so chiffon is the way to go, plus perfect for summer :) |

I met the cheesiest DJ yesterday
So yesterday I had 2 DJ appts. One with a really cool, down to earth guy who is there to cater the wedding in whatever tempo the bride wants, slow, sophisticated, elegant or the wild, group dance all night long, night club wedding.. We had a great meeting, then I went on to meet DJ #2..
You know as soon as you've stepped into something and immediately know you've entered the wrong zone? well that was SO me yesterday! lol So I walk in to meet Mr. mid-40's man (absolutely nothing wrong with that), but please.. don't botox the hell out of your face because you're in denial of age then pump 80's music showing proving ur older than u look for our entire meeting.. lordy.. anyway.. the guy (whos obviously in love with himself as much as he stroked his ego for an hour) starts talking about music and how confident he is in his work and his business.. in the middle of his spheel with nina cherry's buffalo stance pumping in the background he stops and does THE buffalo stance.. i almost peed myself right there.. wow this guy.. the cd, produced by him continued to mix in culture club, and a whole lot of other fashion fopaux from back in the day.. needless to say I left without signing.. Wedding Reception
Do I save a thousand and lose the table layout I LoVeEEe?!?
The second I saw this layout I knew I needed it! Grouping tables into 3 for only 15-16 people adds an extra thousand to my linen bill.. I could go with the regular look of just round tables, but this looks sooooo much better! Shoud I do it? :
My thought.. well I'm freakin over budget on everything else, why not have the linens over budget too? that being said.. thats WHY I'm so overbudget because I have the same thought for everything! lOl |

Sweet Touch
FH being the super FH for the day :)
So I haven't been feeling great this weekend, think its the flu (deff not preggers, knocking on wood for reinforcement lol)..
Anyway, we usually take our Sunday morning walk to Dunkins with the dogs to get some fresh air, get the little poochies to exercise and of course, the must need cup of a.m. java.. So, I was in bed, relaxing, doing a little work and I heard the door close.. I figured he just went to grab the paper, but here comes FH with Sofia and Astro (happy they just came back from a walk), my morning coffee in one hand and a huge bouquet of lilacs from the florist in the other.. He's such a sweetie & my house smells amazing :) |

Shoes
What color shoes are you wearing?
I honestly never thought of going with a drop dead sexy bold shoe. I picked a pair that match my dress, but after checking out WBC I've noticed the idea and LOVE the thought!
How many of you out there are planning to wear something other than the norm satin white or ivory shoe? I'd love to hear your ideas! Here are some shoe thoughts I've had (my colors are fuchsia, ivory and apple green), maid of honor in apple green, I was thinking of going with that color shoe! |

Wedding Survey
How long did you date before you got engaged?
Forever! Weve been together for 6 years and finally decided (and fit it in our schedules) to tie the knot! Did you get the ring you wanted? Of Course! Was the proposal a complete surprise? Yes, we talked about my ring ideas, but I didnt know it was about to happen Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? Im happy with the size! Did you cry when he proposed? doesnt everyone lol Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like. I travel for work and the next stop was Miami. I called him when we arrived to let him know we got there safe as I always did, but apparently, he had our travel manager in on it because when we arrived at the hotel, he was there! I was unpacking, he called to say good night and while we were talking, there was a knock at the door, when I opened it, there he was on one knee, still with the phone to his ear, asking me to marry him! Where are you going for your honeymoon? Australia for a month! Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yes, were actually going back and forth on whos ring will have more total carats! lOl Have you gone over your original wedding budget? ughhh way over budget.. What day of the year will your wedding be? Sunday What kind of weather? Hot and Sunny with an ocean sea breeze Inside or outside? Outside with the ocean as a backdrop Church/justice of the peace/other? JP How many people will be there? 300 Time of day? 5pm Any kind of theme? no theme, just beautiful, sophisticated with tons of elegance How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? my best friend, sister, future sister in law and another close friend :) What kind of cake/what will it look like? were having 3 cakes, a brides cake, grooms cake and the main cake! Where will you have the reception? Long Island What kind of dress will you have/color/material? a beautiful Raylia dress, tank style, v-neck, lots of beading, lace and a small train What kind of flowers in your bouquet? fuchsia roses, white stephanotis with Swarovski crystal centers, green roses, fuchsia and pink calla lilies Kind of engagement ring? (1.5 ct) center marquis, 3 (.25 ct) round diamonds on each side, 3 tcw in a yellow gold setting Kind of wedding bands? yellow gold, with 4 rows of diamonds (4.28 tcw)! How will you wear your hair? Hmm not sure yet! Who will be important to be there? family of course Will the reception be big or small? huge! Lots of style, bold colors, lounge furniture, passed signature drinks, passed hor doeurves, cigar bar, small flat screen tv showing a constant photo show including live edit with photos of the wedding! What will the groom wear? Hes buying an Armani tux.. his reasoning, if I can spend as much as I am on a gown, he can spend the same on a tux.. quick way to end that discussion huh? lOl ;) Where will you go for the honeymoon? Were going to Australia, but not until the season is over.. How long? for an entire month! Ive always wanted to go and know its a onetime deal! What will you do? everything and anything along with a lot of relaxing in the sun on the beach Will it be modest or costly? probably costly, everything else seems to be re: my wedding! :) What will you stay in? In a house, we did a house swap with a family, theyre staying at my house, were staying at theres. Great way to save on the living expense! How old will you and the groom be? Hell be 34, sorry I can only commit to being 25! :P~ How long will you be engaged before you get married? forever and ever and ever Live together before or wait till married? Weve lived together for a while now Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? Its far from simple, my wedding is still a year + away and Ive already got the plans going! Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? I started early so I can enjoy the planning process, that being said, I dont want to become a bridezilla so Im hiring JAMES TRAMONDO 6 months before to deal with last minute things. Ive met him, we locked in on my wedding with a deposit! I LOVE him, hes soooo much fun! Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? I found something so fitting online for our vows, so well use those. |

Wedding Dress
I said yes to the dress, but hell no to Kleinfields!
ok so before I start, I'll give you a little rundown on myself..
Born and raised NyC girl, sophisticated, confident, sexy (as we all are right ladies), phenom sense of style, witty, play well with others, share my toys in the sand box, maybe a french fry or two.. and most important... a shoe closet bigger than the shoe dept at bloomys! (lol kidding, well about that being most important...) most important I'm the most down to earth kind of girl most people meet! that being said, I can tell you I walk around looking great, designer shoes, bags, whatev.. but its not to impress anyone, no one I'm walking next to on the city streets, standing next to on the subway, not even while shopping! I do it because I LOVE it and it makes ME feel good and.. I can! :) so... now that you see I'm cool like that ;) I'll give you the low down on Kleinfields (if you've thought of going, have an appt, or what have you..) I went with a friend for moral support, someone that bought a dress at Kleinfields 3 years ago.. We arrive and BAM the 3 ring circus show officially started ladies!! There are brides from all over the world sitting like cattle, waiting to be tagged.. The yes to the dress show did what most shows have done to low key stores, restaurants, lounges, etc.. ruined yet another local spot (by the way any friends coming to visit from out of state, enough with the can we go get cupcakes @ Magnolias like Carrie and whatever the other drama broads name is.. ps - ny chicks DO NOT live like thos crazies on the show LOL)... ANYWAY... yes, yes.. its my turn, line up to get dressed up.. Into the fitting room we go, dress 1.. ehh ok.. 2.. hmm I like it more, still not a love tho.. 3.. now we're talkin! super sexy, fit well, no corset back.. still liked it more than others. < ok so where was i.. hmm the circus in town... magnolias... blahhh blahhh blahh... OOH YES.. My complete thought... i HAVE to try the Raylia dress on.. I just NEED to.. So off to BK we go.. Brooklyn.. fuhgeddaboudit? no way.. I need to check out Dream Dress 4 U close to Bensonhurst.. We park, passing like 10 canolli stores (leave the gun, take the canolli..) Of course,, ms girly I'm with is salivating down the sidewalk as I pull her toward the bridal shop.. are you mad?? I need to try a gown on.. well.. maybe on the way back, I still have 15 months to go right? :P~ Walk in, Doris greets with a fantastic smile, pulls the Raylia off the rack and a shine of light gleams through the window (or maybe it was someone standing there with a flashlight acting as a spot light? IDK) I knew THIS IS MY DRESS! I put it on and my lower lip quivered, looked up so my little tears didn't hit the dress... Yup its my dress :) Perfect, as is no need for an added corset because its already there, beautiful front, perfect on the arms, perfect perfect perfect.. I found my dress oh and only $650 WITH alterations yuPPpppPP my love my love! |
