DIY Wedding
Invites are a mess!

I need help ladies! I have some DIY print invites and last night I tried printing them and I keep getting this huge ink smudge on the bottom left corner or the top right as it's coming out. It was set to the right paper weight, size, etc. but it still gets this smudge...IDK what to do though and neither does FH. He did try taping an extra piece of paper to the end before it print and it helped but we have 150-200 invites...we can't do that for all of them! The crazy thing is it's not doing it on the RSVP cards and it's the same size! FH suggested going to a professional but I don't want to waste these! I only used one pack but I bought them so long ago there is no way I can return them for my money back...I can try to do store credit I guess...but IDK what should I do?

I'll post pics of the invites with the smudge later today but imagine a huge blotch of ink on the bottom edge under the embossing....

Maybe you should bleed the paper(let the color run towards the end of paper and print it out on larger paper and cut the rest that you don't need

One suggestion that I have it just to go to a local copier store with your template and have them print them for you. It won't cost all that more and save yourself the hassle and struggle of figuring out why your printer is doing that.

If you can borrow whatever kind of printer you don't have.....ink jet vs. laser print....I think you will find a difference.  I printed some things at work that were laser and they smudge on some print jobs and then I printed some at home that were ink jet and they were fine.  It just depended on the job and which printer worked better.
