times running out!
53 days to go!
I cannot believe how quickly the time has gone since I got engaged!
I have my dress. First fitting was a couple of weeks back, and the seamstress has to take it in a dress size, which was excellent news! ;-) My next one is for the hem to be taken up, then the last is for the hips and bum. Ive bought a veil; fingertip length, in ivory, with scattered sworovski crystals. Very pretty. I have found the whole planning process fun, and not at all stressful, luckily. Except, now the time is drawing in, I have had the odd nightmare about my hen night, and bringing my dress on the plane from England! I still need to pay for the cake, decor, favours, groomsmen and pageboy suits. We're still saving!! aaaggh! I really hope we can get all the money together, as well as spending money for Orlando! What with all the parks etc... |

Wedding Photography
fuss-pot!
We have A magic moment, as our photographer. we're very excited about them, as they're photography style appears to be very 'us'.
Ive spent ages tralling through endless websites and these were the only company I liked. I believe its quite expensive, but photos are so important to me. Its the one part of the wedding i refuse to cut costs on, as its the only thing we can keep forever. |

Hen night
80s girls
I was born in 1980, so remember a lot about it, and seeing as im a huge 80s fan, (music mostly, not the fashion!), I soooo doing an 80s hen do! I think Im just as excited about that as the big day itself! lol
All the ladies are EXPECTED to go all out for me(!) and wear 80s clothes. Ebay has great vintage clothes that are really reasonably priced. I think that they shouldnt mind too much about buying clothes for my hen night, cos they would buy a new outfit anyway?? I am going dressed as Madonna (Like a virgin, bride!) ha ha. I cant wait to get into the groove. (By the way, Im a Madonna fan!) We'll start the night off having some drinks, followed by a meal at Salsa! in London's Covent Garden. we'll then hop on the tube to Reflex, an 80s theme nightclub. Roll on Feb 09, I say! |

Wedding Hair Style
Long!
Im definately wearing my hair down. I have naturally curly hair, and like to wear it straight. Im growing my hair, but will most likely have extensions to give my hair volume. I want loose wavy curls, half up half down. In fact, just like how Eva Longoria had her hair when she got married!

Bridesmaids
Keep it in the family
My lovely younger sister, Kerry is to be my Maiden of Honour. Danny's sister, Nicola is my other bridesmaid. Our daughter Neve is our flowergirl.
Along with Hot pink, our other colour is Black!!! Its not traditional, but it is oh so flattering! looks great with a tan, and both the girls wear black a lot anyway! Im pretty sure I'll buy their dresses from a shop called Coast. Its quite expensive, so i will go along to the Christmas sales and see what we can find! |

Wedding Cake
Mmm, Chocolate...
Both Danny and i are real chocoholics. So it was the obvious choice to have a chocolate wedding cake. And we cant bear traditional wedding cake.
We're having 2 square tiers (small wedding!), with plain white icing. Hot pink roses sitting inbetween the tiers! im looking orward to seeing (and eating) my vision! |

The Proposal
what proposal ?!?!
Everyone seems to have gotten engaged and have a lovely story to go along with it! I on the other hand, dont! but its ok!!!
I have been with Danny since I was 15.... am now 27! We grew up 2 doors away from eachother, went to Nursery together and Primary school! we started dating after a mutual neighbour "asked me out" on Danny's behalf! hahahaha I fell preganant in 2004, and we moved out of our parents homes and bought ourself a lovelt 2 bed flat. Neve, our daughter was born in 2005. Our engagement was not because I fell pregnant, it was and is because we love eachother and wanted to seal it and make our relationship complete. I cant wait to be called Mrs Alliston!! |

Wedding Invitation
DIY
I can be a bit of a snob.....BUT, I refused to pay the money to have Invitations made professionally! Its ridiculously expensive! and plus, I could never see anything that fitted with my colour scheme and taste!!
so.... I decided to make my invitations myself. althought i must admit, I cheated a little. In England, we have a website called Confetti, that sell bits and bobs so you can make your own invitations. I decided on buying Black wardrobe outers and matching envelopes. The rest I made from scratch I SWEAR! I bought hot pink paper and used my parents computer to type the actual invitation and RSVP, in Bradley hand print. Then i used hot pink chiffon ribbon to tie the wardrobe outers up. It looked so good, and the compliments I received made my back pain seem worth it! ha ha |
