Pink Wedding Invitation DIY

Wedding Invitation
DIY

I can be a bit of a snob.....BUT, I refused to pay the money to have Invitations made professionally! Its ridiculously expensive! and plus, I could never see anything that fitted with my colour scheme and taste!!
so.... I decided to make my invitations myself. althought i must admit, I cheated a little.
In England, we have a website called Confetti, that sell bits and bobs so you can make your own invitations. I decided on buying Black wardrobe outers and matching envelopes. The rest I made from scratch I SWEAR! I bought hot pink paper and used my parents computer to type the actual invitation and RSVP, in Bradley hand print. Then i used hot pink chiffon ribbon to tie the wardrobe outers up. It looked so good, and the compliments I received made my back pain seem worth it! ha ha

LOL!  I'd love to see your work.  I don't blame you at all because you're right...some of us have to search & search before finding the right invitation, then pay somebody to do what you like.  I am all for purchasing some things to just simplify matters, especially if you do see what you like, but if you have the patience & creativity to do it on your own (or with a little inspiration or assistance), then why not!?!?

I will be making my own with the help of my friend/event planner.  She made my "request invitations" for those I was requesting assistance from for my wedding (favors, decor, rehearsal dinner), & they turned out better than if I had ordered them.  Plus, I'll be doing my own save the date photo strips with some help from Kinkos (see my blog).  Anyhoo...congrats on your invites...I know they're lovely!
