How long did you date before you got engaged?
2 years 7 months 19 days Did you get the ring you wanted? Heck ya!! Was the proposal a complete surprise? I knew it would be happening soon, but i had NO idea it would happen when it did. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small? I love my ring just the way it is! It is the perfect size for my hand!! Did you cry when he proposed? I couldn't!! I was wayyyy to happy to cry! Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like. Both for sure! He is the most romantic and creative guy i know!! When do you want to go for your honeymoon? The day after-ish the wedding. Are you buying his wedding band for him? Yep. Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Not yet. We still have to establish our budget. What day of the year will your wedding be? Saturday, October 2, 2010 What kind of weather? Umm it all depends, cool at night and hopefully nice during the day. Inside or outside? Inside Church/justice of the peace/other? Church! How many people will be there? Roughly 120-140 Time of day? Early Afternoon into the early morning! Any kind of theme? Elegant and classy. How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? Natasha-Sister-MOH Ashley-Best Friend-BM Corinne-BM Stacy-BM Desiree-BM What kind of cake/what will it look like? Not 100% sure yet...we might do the cupcake idea if not it will be a 3 tiered round cake with some sort of damask on it maybe... Where will you have the reception? Minter Gardens What kind of dress will you have/color/material? Whatever looks best on this body ;) What kind of flowers in your bouquet? All white bouquet of spider mums, garden roses and orchids!! Kind of engagement ring? Solitaire with diamond twist band! Kind of wedding bands? It fits in with my e-ring and i will have 2. They have diamonds on the top of the band. How will you wear your hair? Simple and elegant. Low bun with flower and veil...pic is posted. Who will be important to be there? Everyone that is invited. Will the reception be big or small? Larger...see above. LOL What will the groom wear? A tuxedo Where will you go for the honeymoon? Dunno yet, Mexico maybe, hawaii... How long? 10 days. What will you do? Relax, tan, swim, drink, be married! Will it be modest or costly? Modest What will you stay in? All inclusive preferably. How old will you and the groom be? 26 for both of us How long will you be engaged before you get married? 17 months Live together before or wait till married? Live together already...about 2 years now! Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? I will take whatever it takes to plan this wedding :) Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? Myself and my fiance will plan it all...with the help of my sister :) Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? Pre made i think! |

The Proposal
IT HAPPENED!!!!!!
OMG im sooo excited!!! It finally happened! It was soo perfect too. I left work at the normal time that I leave work and i get into my car and there is a flower on my seat with a card that said beauty on it. Then i drive to pick up our daughter from day care and im telling my daycare lady about the flower, then she says, oh thats interesting and walks around the corner and brings me another flower...a yellow rose with a card that said friendship. So Kiera and i get home and there is a single red rose on the door step with a thing in the door that says love. Then we walk in the door and down the stairs and there is a vase of flowers. I walk in and see my fiance (now) sitting on the couch. He usually works til 5 so i say to him, shouldnt you be at work? He said, yes i should be. LOL. so im sitting on the floor and across from him wondering whats going on...and i see our cat running around. She normally doesnt have a collar on but she did today. It was jingling and i look closer and my ring is tied around her neck. So i was trying to get her to come over to me and i was just extatic when i knew what was happening. So shawn comes over to me with our kitty and he says his thing (cant remember exactly what right now...lol) and i say yes...well i screamed yes! He then took the ring off our cats neck and i notice that the collar had a heart on it and it was engraved with "will you marry me?" It was the best proposal ever!!! I am soooo happy right now i am still shaking and it happened an hour ago!! I love him soo much and i loved his proposal and now we get to spend forever together!!!!

The shoe game...
Is a must!!!
My sister had this at her wedding and i just love the idea. It was a great laugh for the rest of us! Here is a sample of the questions and how the game works (I would have the wedding party stay seated at the head table):
Ask the bridal party to stand about 10' in front of the chairs... brides maids/maid of honor on one side and groomsmen/best man on the other. Have the bride sit in the chair facing her bridesmaids...then have the groom remove both of the brides shoes. Have the groom then sit in the other chair facing his groomsmen and remove both of his shoes as well Trade one shoe each so both the bride and groom have one of each of their shoes. Now you will announce "This game is to show how much the new Mr./Mrs. John and Jane Doe really know about each other... I will ask you a question and you raise the shoe that you think best fits the answer to the question... alright here's a practice question..."Right now, who has the most cash on them?" Sometimes you'll see some great hesitation faces like their really not sure, or even better when you ask a question like... "Who wears the pants in the family"... Sometimes the bride will put up her shoe, and the groom will put up his. It's hilarious. You'll get high fives, and the families laughing. What I did is I watched every video I seen of this game and made up a nice list of questions to ask. Here's my list. Get a pen and paper, and don't be afraid to try this, it's a great way to break the ice at a wedding. BETWEEN THE TWO OF YOU: -who is the biggest flirt -who made the first move -who's the better cook -who said "I LOVE YOU" first -who has the wackiest family -who's the better driver -who's the faster driver -who spends the most time in front of a mirror -who is in control of the checkbook -who is most likely to eat desert for breakfast -who wears the pants in the family -who is in charge of the remote -who spends the most time getting ready to go out -who will be doing most of the yard work -if you haven't already... who is most likely to pass gas in front of the other first -now that you're married, who will be the first to say... "not tonight" -who's the better kisser -who will be the first to fall asleep tonight -who has the smelliest feet -who steals the cover's more -who popped the question -who says "I love you" the most in one day -who talks more -who's most likely to use up all the hot water -who's most likely to get lost -who's most likely to ask for directions -who's the 1st one to make up after a fight -who's the one that started the fight in the first place -who's the most likely to wake up grumpy in the morning -who's most likely to wake up with a hangover in the morning -who's most likely to be running late -who spends more money (always ask this next question last) -and finally... Who do you love the most in the whole wide world... "There you go ladies and gentlemen, now you know who know's who the most" |

Wedding Reception
Love Love Love it!!
***UPDATE*** We got the venue!!! So on my continuous search of a reception place that won't totally bust the bank, I looked at a venue that I thought was completely out of our price range...BUT, it's not. It is actually the cheapest place that I have found, keeping in mind that having our wedding in October will help keep the costs lower. The best part is, my future hubby loves it too! I cannot wait to actually book it there. I just hope that we get engaged soon and that the date is still available. |

Wedding Rings And Jewelry
I am a lucky girl...I will have 2 bands when we get married. I am just wondering though, when you are having the wedding ceremony you have your E-ring on your right hand so that your left is bare so he can put the wedding band on....but what do you do if you are getting two bands? Do you just wear the set on your right hand and then let him put the band on and then put the other two on after the ceremony? Or does he put them both on the same time and then you can fix it later?

Color change!
I can't make up my mind...but...
So...I love the look of damask, and always have. I even bought little damask cards for just whenever cards and i absolutley love it! Green was an original color in my wedding anyways, but now I think i want to do black, green and hints of damask. I am finding a hard time finding chocoloate dresses in the dresses i love for my girls, its all mocha or latte, and i wanted chocolate. Black is an easy color to match and looks good on everyone and is easy to find black dresses! I will have all of my girls in Black dresses and the flowers for them will be the same green ones still. My groomsmen will be in all black tuxes, but with white shirts and my hubby to be will still be in the same tux to match me. I love this new color scheme!
