FINALLY I stumbled across a DIY paper flower that is EASY to make and looks amazing!!! To no avail, I tried Martha Stewart's crepe paper rose kits (too time consuming) and 2 other Japanese paper rose kits (too confusing!!). But thanks to fellow WBC bride nlucas55, here are the instructions for an easy and fast paper rose!
1. Draw a spiral on a 4x4" square sheet of paper
2. Cut out spiral along the lines you have drawn
3. Begin rolling up the spiral from the outside
4. Keep on rolling until there is no more left to roll
5. You're done.
I'll be scattering them around the cake on the cake table instead of rose petals. As well, as gratefulbride suggested on nlucas55's post, I may put them at each place setting.
(the pic is of my test rose. i think it turned out great! now to go out and get pale pink paper!)
- yours look awesome!
