My FMIL got married last night!
and my BM (Mikka) is getting married tomorrow!!!
Holy Weddings, Batman!
I love it. :) Here's some pics from last night's ceremony. It was a family only event at their townhouse. Very intimate, sweet and emotional. Also! I got our 'Thank You' postcards back from Vistaprint yesterday! How FAST was that?! So last night I stamped the backs with my postcard stamp and voila! They are complete. What do you think? :) |

DIY Wedding
Pin up/Boudoir pictures mostly done!
My BM, Alana, took some shots of me today. SO MUCH FUN! We ran out of natural light before we had the chance to finish the last two set ups. So, we'll have to finish next Tuesday. She's putting the ones we got so far on a disc and I'll post (some) of them.
Here is the shot list... 1) in a 1950s red and white polka dot apron baking cookies in the kitchen 2) ironing a white shirt while wearing a purple teddy 3) fixing under the sink with a black teddy on. Love the tool box and wrench props. 4) legs (with black fishnet and a pink bow) up on the wall while i'm laying on my back on the floor. 5) on Alana's bed wrapped in a white duvet with my veil on 6) standing beside the bed with my Victoria Secret big ivory bow panties 7) laying on the bed in a charcoal teddy and royal blue gloves. Oh lala! They turned out amazing!!! Still to shoot.... 1) librarian/teacher with glasses sitting on a chair chewing a pencil 2) in the bathtub with bubbles reading a raunchy romance novel/painting my nails red/eating chocolates. |

Any OPI nailpolish experts out there?
I need a shade of pink nailpolish that isn't too pale, too bubblegum, too fushia/hotpink, or too orange. a nice solid medium pink would be great. my nails are short and can handle a darker shade of pink than the standard bridal colour. i looked on the OPI website and there are sooooo many choices. does anyone have a favourite shade?

Gals, I need your opinions! Which 'Thank You' picture is your favorite?
They are for our 'Thank You' postcards to send to our guests after the wedding.
I really wanted a vintage look (with the cruiser tandem bike) but I hate to admit the best pic might be the one without the bike. :( Can any of the bike shots work? I just finished gathering photos, creating the layout and ordering a book of Mike and I for our parents. I titled it "The Journey of Michael and Melanie - July 26, 2009". I added photos of us as babies, throughout childhood, to early adulthood and I finished it with a couple of photos of us together presently. On that page I wrote "At Last, we found each other." Then on the very last page I printed out the English lyrics to La Vie En Rose by Edith Piaf and Mack Davis. I'm so happy with it. I'll post pics when I receive in in 6 to 19 days.

DIY Wedding
FINALLY finished our Crossword Puzzle!
I'm all action with regards to my DIY projects these days!
We'll be giving these crossword puzzles out at the rehearsal dinner in hopes of having the family and bridal party get to know one another. Today I printed the puzzle clues on ivory paper. As well, I created the grid on Word. I ended up having to trace the lines with a felt pen because they weren't dark enough when it was scanned. Then Mike scanned it and printed it on ivory paper! It's not as pro looking as i would like but Mike likes it. So that's always a good thing. :) Previously, i'd tied and glued a white ribbon on to the pencils our guests will be using to fill our the answers to the crossword. |
