shes sooo sweet! a pain in the neck sometimes because shes still a puppy. But shes soo cute! shes mike's dog. I feel bad because mike doesn't even like dogs. haha! but he doesn't mind her much. My boss's mom found her and didn't want her so i told mike he should have her. and i think he secretly even likes her a little (shhhh..!)

Mike is the best example of Christ i know. Hes my best friend. Hes not perfect (as none of us are) but hes pretty close in my eyes! I love him alot alot! We have been through so much in the last three years. It seems we've know each other since childhood.

We met each other at church. What better way to meet the love of your life? We started dating soon after i started going to ECBC. I started going in Febuary 2005, and we started being friends/dating may, june-ish.. We officailly became boyfriend and girlfriend july 19, 2005. but somehow we changed it to may 19. i think because we knew we loved each other before we were official.

What can i say? i certanitly don't deserve a man so sweet, so strong, so humble, and so very very talented. mike has a heart after God, and has personally brought me a long way in my own walk with God. I know he will make a wonderful husband someday soon. I love the peace i have knowing its God's will for us to be together.

This is the ring mike proposed to me with. Its pretty and simple. The diamond is beautiful and looks big on my little hand. HeHe! Its a yellow gold band and white gold prongs. The diamond it a little under half a carot. < or however you spell that.

We want to have my aunt Ria make my wedding band. Its gonna be sweet!

This was amazing. Totally perfect. We have been praying and praying and praying for God's timming of when to get married and we are finally engaged! I'm so excited! I always told mike that i think it would be so sweet for him to propose with my family there. And since we don't date alone, thats exactly what he planned.

I was helping my aunt ria with a jewlery show in downtown portsmouth VA and we usually take her out to dinner when she comes, so thats what we were goning to do. My mom told me to invite mike to come, but he said he didn' t think he could make it because he had to work. I was upset that he couldn't come. We ate at this adorable little Italian resturaunt called Amore' (how romantic) and we all sat at this little table in the back. My mom made reservations and so there was an extra seat where mike was supposed to sit. My mom asked if he was comming, i said "No" and we ordered drinks and appatizers. Then the waitresses came out with a cake and started singing "happy birthday" to me! This was May 10, and my birthday is not until july 26! i was so confused so i was just sitting there smiling i fugured my sister told them it was my birthday to embarass me and get free cake. Then i turned and looked and Mike came out of no where and got on one knee and was like "candy, will you marry me?" and i just put my hand on my mouth and kept saying "o my goodness, o my goodness" i dont even say that normally. haha. then apparently, i said "yes" not once, but twice. my mom captured the moment perfectly with her camera, and i was soooo happy! i could hardly eat.

Im so blessed that the Lord has allowed our relationship to take a step farther. I can't wait until marriage.

i want something cute and modest. and INEXPENSIVE.

this will be on its own table with pens avaiable. on the back of the cards will be "a note to the newlyweds" and people will be encouraged to write a note on the front and place it in the box.

Another idea i just got was a "Candy bar" there will be a table with all red colored candies, like m&mz and skittles, etc. and there will be either little bags with red ties or boxes and everyone will be welcomed to take one home!

for the reception- i want a candle-lit, light refreshment get-to-gether. Nothing to outragous, no chowin down, so ill tell everyone to eat before they come! Im thinking a dessert reception. >>Bring in 20 different sweets like chocolate-covered strawberries, banana fosters, and creme brulee. Talk to your caterer for clever ways to decorate tables and present mini desserts. Your family can join in the fun -- ask your best friend's mother to make her famous brownies or your aunt to make those pecan delights. A dessert buffet encourages mingling and ensures getting people off their seats

candlelight or chandeliers or strung twinkle lights Lots of candles, flowers, low lights, nice christian wedding music, if possible lamps hanging from ceiling, maybe some mood lighting like blue? or amber lighting? our new monogram on the wall? flower boxes ( open boxes with the lid tucked under and some red flowers stuffed neatly into the boxes face up.) i might drape the walls and ceilings with rich velvety red fabrics to close in the space.

The wedding party i want on our church chaples platform and the cake table down center. and the light refreshment tables all around the chaple. round table for people to site with table clothes and decorations. chairs neatly placed on the perimiter of the chaple for extra seating. No assigned seats. special table for the parents of the bride and groom. white chairs with red and black bows tied on back.
