Wedding Invitation
Cost of sending invitation and rsvp card (HELP)
WBC Brides, I am in the process of making my invitation and I have been thinking about cost of mailing the invitaion and the cost of stamps for the response cards. After considering the information below and reading other information online about the percentage of wedding response cards actually return. I am strongly considering using response postcards. I have read online that postcards are consider informal and there may incounter some problems, but to me the saving out weigh that. I am having a somewhat of a formal garden wedding but I am a BUDGET Bride 1st LOL! The more I think about it you will probably end up calling people for there rsvps LOL! What do you ladies think? I hope the informations helps
I received the following information from http://www.costhelper.com/cost/finance/stamp.html. Typical costs: Until May 12, 2008, the cost of sending a first class letter (up to 1 ounce) costs 41 cents. Each additional ounce adds 17 cents, so the price to send a typical 2 ounce wedding invitation is 58 cents. On May 12, the cost of a first class letter will increase one cent to 42 cents. However, a "Forever" Stamp purchased before then can still be used to send a first class letter. The United States Postal Service has 5 billion 41 cent forever stamps in stock in anticipation of the increased demand before the rate increase. Sending a postcard will also increase by a penny from 26 cents to 27 cents. Sending a Priority Mail envelope or letter up to 1 lb currently costs $4.60. Priority Flat Rate Boxes cost $8.95. The Post Office has not yet provided the new rates for Priority Mail. Details on the new postal pricing in 2008 are available at the US Postal Service website. |

Wedding Decoration
Centerpieces, Vases and Flowers
Some center pieces I am trying to decide on. I am having rectangel tables set up like the first picture. The picture is my favorite. I like the little flower boxes like the 4th picture to go in between the tall flowers. I found this wholesale florist in south america. If I recall correctly Martha Stewart said that this grower is good and you recieve the flower on time, fresh, and not damage. I am going to older a sample and see before I order a lot. The website is below.

Inspiration Board
My wedding inspiration
Hi everyone! I am not new but I am just starting to post blogs and really plan. I want to say thank you to so many brides on WBC because a lot of my ideas and inspiration came from you guys. I hope yall don't mind if I use some of your ideas but change them to suit me and my wedding. Thanks in advance LOL!
I am planning an outdoor or garden wedding. Our first choice was a cruise wedding but due to the size of my family and elderly grandmother we decided to do a cruise honeymoon for vow renewal cruise in about 3 to 5 years. Well it took me about 5 months to decide on my colors. I always new I wanted chocolate as the main color. It is some rich and elegant. It was the other color(s) I was having problems with. So I decided that my wedding is chocolate with accents of ivory, champagne, and burnt orange. Maybe some gold here and there, what do yall think? Below is the breakdown of the colors Chocolate: MOH, bridesmaids, and flower girls Dresses and menus Ivory: My dress, FH suit, chair covers (maybe), flowers (maybe), place cards, and programs Burnt orange: maybe Hostess dresses, Flowers, and maybe some wording on menus and programs Champagne or Tan: napkins and groomsmen suits and maybe hostess dresses Gold: may be center pieces and chargers Oh yeah my FH wants to wear a linen suit so thats were the champagne or tan comes in. Please let me know what you think. Couldn't get all the different pictures in one picture. |

DIY Wedding
DIY Bridesmaid Card
DIY Brides, I got this inspiration from Kolhler44 on Project Brides.com (Thanks) I am having 1 MOH ,9 Bridesmaid, and 2 flower girls. Don't even ask why so many long story. The brides on WBC inspired me to ask them by giving them a "Will you be my Bridesmaid, MOH, and flower girls" Card. So per Kohler44 I went to Michaels and got all my materials. The cost of each card is about $1.60 a card. I plan on giving one to the minister whos my aunt is asking her to be my minister for the wedding and probably one to who ever help me plan. So this card will read and ask different question depending on who it is to. I got the different poems off line for each person.
This is the breakdown of the cost: -1 pack of ivory card & envelopes (40) from Michaels $4.99 (50% off) -1 Dress stamps Michaels $10.99 I got it for 6.59(40% coupon) -1 pack of stamp ink (coffee brown) $7.99 I got it for $4.79(40% coupon) -1 pack of glass rhinestones $1.99 -1 roll of ribbon for about $2.00. Grand total is about $20. That does not include printing. I might do them myself or take them to Kinkos, but I have a 30% discount at Kinkos. It may be a little more I am looking for a stamp for the flower girls or I just may get a cartoon picture off line. I will post the results when I finish. Wish me Luck! |
