Ask a Question
Shoe Game!

Ok ladies!!! I would like some input ;)

I really want to squeeze the shoe game in to my wedding reception (sometimes also called the newlywed game)..

For those that haven't heard of, or seen it, this is how it works:

It usually happens later in the evening, after some dancing, sometimes before the bouquet toss.

Bride and Groom take off their shoes and hand one of their shoes to the other person (so they are each holding a groom and brides shoe) and then sit back to back so they can't see each other. The DJ then asks questions, and the bride and groom hold up the shoe of the person they believe the question fits. For example, the DJ could ask me and my FH, "who's the better cook?"... guaranteed, we will both raise my shoe (because we both know I am the better cook! LOL)

As cute as this is, I have seen it carry on too long... I think the perfect time is around 10 questions.

SO- I have a list I have complied of many questions... which 10 are your favorite?!?!

• Who’s the better cook?
• Who’s the best driver?
• Who’s the fastest driver?
• Who has the wackiest family?
• If you haven’t already… who is most likely to pass gas today?
• Now that you’re married, who will be the first to say… “not tonight”?
• Who talks more?
• Who’s most likely to get lost?
• Who’s most likely to ask for directions?
• Who wears the pants in the relationship?
• Who made the first move?
• Who has the best taste in music?
• Who is always right?
• Who spends the most time in the bathroom?
• Who complains more?
• Who holds their liquor better?
• Who snores the most?
• Who is the better driver?
• Who is the most romantic?

And one last question!!
I have seen it where the game has been done with just the bride and groom... and I saw it a few times including the best man and maid of honor...

Do you think it's better to keep to just the bride and groom? Or include bridal party members?

Here's a video if you want to check it out

Haha, too cute.. and, I love the list of questions you have, too. My top 10 fave would be (in no particular order):

1) Who complains more?
2) Who snores the most?
3) Who is always right?
4) Who talks more?
5) Who has the wackiest family? - could be funny, but maybe controversial!
6) Who is the most romantic?
7) Who'?s the better cook?
8) If you haven?t already? who is most likely to pass gas today? - guaranteed laughs!
9) Who made the first move?
10) Who wears the pants in the relationship? - more laughs!

I'd keep it just to the bride, and groom, personally.

Cute game! Yes, I would prob keep at only 10 questions to keep it short. I like the questions like the bathroom  and snoring one. The better cook and liquor are also good. But really you have to pick questions that you and FH wouldn't mind people knowing the answer to you know? For example the wacky family thing mind come off offensive to other family members and you might not think it would. But you just never know, because each fam is different. But basic fun questions seems like it would great!

Thanks ladies! @mrshtobe- thanks! those were some of my top fav's too! I also thought it was better to keep it between the bride and groom, but figured I'd get other opinions as well :) @ksteward78- hehe, these are all okay questions :) we both have wacky families that aren't afraid to say it LOL, with an  immensely large (and maybe even twisted haha) sense of humor :))  but still, very good advice, thank you!!

Very cute idea!  I think it would be fun if you included the best man and the MOH if you're very close with them - otherwise just keep it to the Bride and Groom

Maybe I should rephrase....

Use your MOH and BM if they aren't attention hounds  ;-)

That sounds like a cute game! I think if you decide to do it, you should keep it to just the Bride and Groom. I think it will be cuter that way. Have fun with it! :)
