Tall cylindrical vases. How to make them work?

So I recently came home from a visit with my future sister-in-law (who got married 2 years ago) and she has given me 24 of these fantastic tall (16") cylindrical glass vases. I love them - they're great... but now I'm faced with my next question...

.... how to make them work? I've seen lots of people fill them with water, orchids and floating candles... or tall, minimalist floral arrangements, however I am making my flowers (see below) out of paper. My paper flowers are not minimalist or 'contemporary' in any way. They're crafty and 'peony-like' in their shape with full appearance.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to make use of these glass vases I've been given so they compliment the flowers I'm making?

A few ideas I had:

- fill the vases with the flowers
- have branches in the vases and glue my paper flowers to the branches
- find some very long stems for my paper flowers and decorate the vase with ribbon or paint so as not to see the stems.

I need more ideas and hopefully a little feedback. Help me girls!

Hmm tricky.... do you have any ideas of how you can tye in teh museum that your getting married with these? You could get a stryofoam ball and put your paper flowers in them (like pomator balls) and have them on top of the vase.... or I like the idea of just branches... or you could fill them with water and have floating candles in them (or just one) and put the paper flowers around the base of the vase?
Good luck - I hope you find something that you like!

futuremrsslilley took the words right out of my mouth with using the stryofoam ball. I would recommend doing that and add maybe a strain of hanging cyrstals..I'm not all that keen on the idea of painting the vases.

I'm quite sure before its all said and done you will figure it out and it will be beautiful!!!

Submerse flowers underwater with the cedar flower and/OR one white floating candle atop (but try this out so it cant catch fire!!!!)

just reread your post... Maybe you could add white pebbles to 1/3 of the vase, then put 3 or more cedar/paper flowers in them
