Im feeling like such a bad sister and bridesmaid tonight
Hi all,
It has been a while since my wedding now and been missing u guys. I really hope everyones planning is going great. So feeling bad tonight its my sisters hens night. I have just started a new job and they wouldn't give me today of work. she lives a 7 hour drive away so i wasn't able to make it. really feel like I'm missing out right now and being such as bad sister. her wedding is the 7th of April so I guess i will just have to make it up ti her then. Also bridesmaids for a friend who is getting married next Feb so just finished my wedding and busy busy with others. Im finding the experience of being a bridesmaid straight after my wedding a little weird. Is anyone else a bridesmaid at the moment? |

Hi Ladies,
So our photos are finally here. Ill start by uploading some from getting ready. So the last time I saw my then FH was about 10pm the night before. We got up about 6:00am and my bridesmaids and I decided to hope in the car and head to a bakery for breakfast in our brides and bridesmaids shirts. After croissants and juice while my FMIL was getting her hair done but our hairdresser. Two of the girls started having showers and I headed with the other and fmil over to the function room (we stayed at the venue) to make sure the room and ceremony were being set up how I wanted. We also had to drop off some stuff to be put out. After this I headed over to my sister in laws room to pick up my dress. She was making the cake and it looked great. Finally it was my turn to get my hair done. It took forever but I was very happy with the outcome and our hair dresser was great. While I was getting my hair done my fmil law brought us all over food, cheeses, chicken, chocolate covered strawberries. As I was getting my hair done one of my bridesmaids made me a plate. Make up was next and the time getting closer. I was very happy to hear that my FH was done there with our dogs waiting for me. My flowers and dad arriving was great and dad seemed very proud. Now a few photos, some champagne and getting a little excited but I wasn't nervous at all. Ok ladies the good part the ceremony to come next!!!! |

Hi Ladies,
So I did a draft wedding speech but I don't think its any good. Does any one have any suggestions? Or know of things I'm meant to include. Good Evening Everyone, You have heard enough speeches tonight so I promise I will be quick. I would just like to say thank you to you all for coming, I know that everyone has had to travel to be here and it means the world to us both. I firstly have a couple of thank yous to make to Sharon from beautiful weddings the room looks amazing. To our celebrant Trish, our photographer Leah and of course Rikky our Wedding Coordinator. I would also like to make a special mention to Christian for the beautiful wedding cake she made. And to Chris not only for the reading you made earlier but for being my second mum when I moved to Sydney. I really do appreciate everything that you and Terry did for me. Finola, thank you for many years ago welcoming me into the family and for all the help you have given me with the wedding and life in general. My dad what can I say, thank you for walking me down the aisle today and for the support and unconditional love you have given me over the years. There is someone that wanted to be here today but unfortunately is not, my mum. Of course I am extremely sad that my mum is not here today but I did get to do the one thing every bride to be wants to do with their mum, dress shopping. As some of you are aware mum came to visit me about a week after we got engaged and we set out dress shopping. It is a very beautiful moment when you have on a wedding dress and a veil and your mum gets all emotional and says thats the one. Mum I know you are here in sprit today and I want to say thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me. To my bridesmaids, you are all wonderful women and extremely important to me. Its a wonder you are all still talking to me after the thousands of emails I have probably sent you all over the past 12 months. But I sincerely thank you for all your help and encouragement. To my husband, what can I say other than I love you forever and I am so happy to be your wife. I would like to end with making toast to you all for your support over the years and I hope you enjoy the rest of the night. Thanks |

5 Days to go and Im all packed and ready
Hi Ladies,
I am so excited now. And for the first time since getting engaged my FH is now also excited!!!! Today I packed my suitcase and wedding stuff. I just can't wait. Tomorrow my FH son arrives and hopefully all their suits so fingers crossed they all fit. What is everyone up to at the moment. |

Only 9 days to go. Cant wait. Had a small freak out this morning as i didn't get what I wanted done on the weekend. I felt so sick this morning so didn't go to work but I did the few things i needed to do. Including my speech which I'm not overly happy with but at least I have something. I forgot to tell you all about our guest book. I love it. What do you think? |

What are you getting your FH
Hi Ladies,
Question for you. I wasnt going to get my FH anything as a present (other than a gift baskit I have order) but one of the ladies suggested I should get him something as the groom doesnt get anything. Problem is I have no idea what to get him. Only thing I can think of is a watch but he doesnt wear a watch. Are you ladies buying a present? What are you getting? Thanks |
