Ceremony & reception all in one. . .?

We finally booked a venue to hold our small ceremony and reception - and it was the date we originally planned! After finding out the rules for the venue kinda changed we had to come up with a unique plan to utilize what we'd already paid and the amount of space we had. With that said. . . is it a little too weird to have the tables set up for the ceremony and reception all together?

If you are going w/ the elegant touch can the front  of the room be set up for the ceremony and then say go outside for the recieving line while the room is being put back together for the reception....
I have been to wedding where this was done ....

I was in my friend's wedding in 2006 and her wedding and reception was in the same room all in one. It was very pretty. I can send you pictures it if you like?

We're having the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in the same room.  We wanted the event to have an intimate feel, and we think doing it this way accomplishes that goal.  Go for it!  It's your day.
