Hard Times
...Miss my wedding planning.
Hi ladies. I haven't been on here in a good 2 months. Ouch...
It seems I have missed out on a lot from the website : * ( I def miss planning my wedding! So things with fiance and I haven't been so hot. We are not totally seperated but taking a break is what I like to think of it as. I've moved out and it's SO hard not having him by my side and waking up to his face, but I hope this will work for us. He doesn't know how much I need him because I'm trying to hide that for now and stay strong. He is an amazing person, but we have our differences on things and we are butting heads like crazy lately. I'm not going to blast him as I know he wouldn't do that to me... Just wanted to post because 1, I miss this damn addicting site and 2, to vent a little I guess. So for now, the wedding is on hold... uh tear... but if we can make it thru this difficult time, then the wedding will be in the future. I love him with all my heart<3 and I miss you ladies and your wonderful comments!!!! |

We are doing a bathroom basket for girls only. I don't think the guys really need them do they? lol...
We spray painted the basket black and put our fabric in the basket. We added the green ribbon to the inside as a draw pull, then made the bow. And when I say "we," I mean my mother in law : ) I'm not that good! ha |

This is our $7 basket from hobby lobby. We spray painted it black, added the ribbon and the crystal buckle.
We are making "tears of joy" packets for the wedding itself. We are in the process of purchasing our supplies to make them. |

These will go on every other table at the reception. I love these candle holders and they are super cheap and so cute!!! The reason why we are putting the ornaments on the top is because most venues don't allow taper candles to burn inside... so that was our alternative. |

DIY Wedding

Were not quite finished, but this is the pretty much completed product. I still have to finish the topper with our initials (finish the rhinestones)and add the giant ring. There will also be green ribbon going up the right and left sides of the boxes.
And I don't know if it's just me or not, but the boxes look crooked in the picture but believe me they aren't!! Tell me what you think! I will post the complete project once we get there, but I was too excited to not post it yet! ha... The letter, I spray painted silver... I've started adding sequins on it, but it's not complete yet! UPDATE - FYI - I got the card boxes on EBAY - type in paper mache square or circle boxes! They were $30.00 with shipping!! |

Ma in Law and I went shopping today @Hobby Lobby! They were having a nice sale and we got some GREAT stuff!! I'm so excited!!
We paid just $15 total for the candle holders. They were 50% off!!! And they are thick glass. I LOVE them. The unity candle is made by Ma In Law. The glass ornaments were like $3 and were bought as an experiment. We are going to swirl black metallic paint on the insides of the ornaments. We will then put the ornaments upside down on the Lumiere candle holders. (last pic are the Lumiere candle sticks I just ordered today) The basket will be spray painted black and will be lined with our damask fabric...not the stuff that's in it. We're not doing a guys "bathroom" basket, only girls... so that's what it's for. The bowl will also be spray painted black and will hold our DIY tissues at the wedding... My card box is also on here. NOT near complete and the bottom box doesn't have the fabric attached. we just threw it on their for the picture... we will have a topper on it, a giant ring and the black and white cording will line the boxes.... |

My ma in law has been busy. So props to her : ) She is uber crafty!!!
we have a few pomanders made with silver spray glitter on them. They look so sparkly, although you can't tell in the picture! the ribbon ball was made for fun. The 2 photo boards were done using the fabric that will be throughout our wedding. We found one board at the goodwill and I had one already! ribbon was then added and some crystals!! The vases are the one's that the girls will be putting their bouquets in at the reception. They are not completed and their will be 2 more! I found the green jewels at wally world the other night!! I was sooo happy. They will hang on the ends of the crystal tree! it will be so pretty! And thanks to Victorias1911 for my flutes. They came in perfect condition and totally look un-used!!! They are beautiful. |

Does anyone watch this new show, Hitched or Ditched? If you haven't seen/heard of it, lemme give you a little background...
"Hitched or Ditched" is a one-hour reality show focusing on couples who are in long-term relationships but have not yet taken that big leap into marriage. Nominated by a friend who believes it's either time for the couple to tie to the knot or break up, each episode features a different couple who accept their friend's proposition to set a wedding date in one weeks time. Throughout the week leading up to the big day, the couple is put through a series of personalized exercises that test their relationship, all while planning their dream wedding. They may have to confront their problems ranging from mending relationships with future in-laws to dealing with jealousy issues. When the wedding day arrives, the couple will make the final decision - will they tie the knot or call the whole thing off? Viewers will witness every emotional milestone as the couple decides if it's time to get "Hitched or Ditched." I feel like though, with this show, that it's somewhat staged and also, if you have so many relationship problems and it's been 4 or more years or, however long you've been dating, and you can't get over anything and can't work through your problems, then you shouldn't be getting married. Not saying that over MORE time, you can't work through your problems, but it shouldn't take a TV show to "push" you to the next stage and to broadcast it like that doesn't make matters better... It's just a weird show, but I, of course, watch it : ) |

Just curious about other households...
I'm really close with my fiances' parents and especially his mom. I tell her everything. BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT... She LOVES to tease me about grandchildren... She's joking, but not... does that make sense?? It doesn't bother me at all... but she'll just be like well I'm gonna be dead before I get grand babies or whenever I have a "scare," she gets excited... ha. Or FH will be like, "give us $5K and we'll squeeze one out." and she'll say OKAY! lol...NOPE, Hello, my body, this girl HERE has to carry it...not you sweetie poo. I love babies and I'm going to be specializing in the NICU in the future for nursing, but I don't want any right now. I'm selfish. I want clothes, makeup, entertainment, time with him<3, etc. to MYSELF right now... I want my BODY to myself right now, I want to get married first (not my values, just prefer it) ... But curious if their are any others out there that get hasseled in a joking/but not joking manner by in laws or even your own parents? lol... and yes, my mom asks about babies too... oh brother! |
