a little bit of a recap
So I thought I'd give you all a bit of a look at how everything turned out :)

First up is how the ceremony was set up. Bearing in mind this was a back-up location due to the indecisive weather, I'm pretty happy with how she worked with the area. I'm soo glad I had the idea to call and ask if she had yellow chair sashes - I think it really worked! I love yellow.

Second is how she arranged the leftover flower petals! There were three of these, one each side of the aisle (at the front) and one behind the celebrant. What a cute touch.

Order of Service Booklets (DIY) - happy I left the yellow ribbon off these, I like their simplicity.

Remember Candle & Frame (DIY) - I forgot the willow tree figurine!! Haha after AGONISING for months over which one to choose aswell. Never mind.

A shot of everyone getting organised for our group shot (taken from our balcony 3 storeys above). I LOVED the amount of people we had (60). It was perfect for us.

Beautiful BMs and Good Looking GMs. After thinking I hated the brown dresses, I am SO happy with how everything came together, and the yellow ties which we found a couple of days prior to the wedding ($10 yay!) I'm so glad we did, they are brighter than the originals, and really popped.

Haha this is pretty much the only shot we've got of the flower petals being thrown on us.

Random I know but this is the best close up photo I have of my bouquet. Despite them being the wrong shades of yellow, I'm actually really glad they were, it was a lot softer and made the whole wedding not so matchy matchy, but complementary (I hope!)

Next are our vows - we displayed these in a frame at our reception. Last minute DIY which took me about 2 minutes haha.

The long table where we sat with our friends. I am STOKED by how awesome the wallpaper was. I'm so glad I found it and can totally recommend using wallpaper, the texture was so great and everyone kept commenting on how cool it was. Only thing I'd change, would be to have real flowers in the pots, but we all know how much I've hated my centrepieces since I made them!! I do like the overall effect though. Everything was DIY.

The Cake! The combination of the cake and cake topper would honestly have to be my favourite part of the day. I know that sounds weird but it's just so amazingly perfect, I loved it SO MUCH. And oh y god it was delicious! We didn't get to have a taste test prior to it being served up but holy heckarooney it was seriously good mudcake.

Lastly just a close up of the cake topper. I can't recommend the lady that made this highly enough. I seriously sent her a scribbly little picture of what I wanted my cake topper to look like, along with photos of me, my dress, my hubby, my puppy and she made it a dream come true.

Hmm I feel like I've just given myself a massive pat on the back hahaha it wasn't meant to sound like that, was just wanting to give you all a peek at how all my little DIY projects came together!

I forgot to say goodbye...
...but I'm married and loved my wedding!!
Hi girls! I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to sign off before I went up to get married! It was so hectic I honestly can't even remember how I got up to Rainbow and managed to get myself married!

I'm so happy that my wedding turned out exactly as I wanted it to in the "about my wedding" section..... ie yellow, ivory & mocha, ocean views, intimate, great food, lots of wine, daggy music & lots of laughs.

I had THE most amazing day, a few things went wrong (flowers wrong colour, wettest october on record forcing change of ceremony venue, no hot water in hotel for day of & day after wedding, tripping down the aisle - yes TRIPPING DOWN THE AISLE, reception cutting and serving our cakes top tier, ipod playlist crossfade setting not working, cake table so high I couldn't cut the cake, is all I can think of at the moment) but honestly it was SO PERFECT and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day.

Everyone appeared to have a great time, and there was hardly a dry eye in the house during our ceremony, and being told repeatedly it was the best wedding ever - BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!

Missed you heaps and here are a couple of non-pro snaps for you :)

Seeya!

finally got my skates on!
go soo much done today yay!
Well I have had a hectic, frantic, stressful yet fabulously productive weekend! It's so exciting doing all these "last time before I get married" little bits and pieces.. normally so mundane haha.

So over the course of the weekend I've managed:
- my last eyelash refill, haircut, haircolour, eyebrow wax
- got my this-time-next-week-groom his present (a shiny new road bike weehee!!)
- assembled favour boxes
- printed order of service books & 3/4 assembled them including stuffing up two shots at it haha
- finished remembrance tree
- finished guest book fingerprint tree
- drew diagram & instructions for venue set up
- finished vow display for reception
- got umbrellas for bridal party (it's seriously been pi$$ing with rain for the last 2 weeks... wtf sunny Queensland?!?!)
- got a bikini for honeymoon
- my BM made me some flower petal cones
- worked out seating plan (holeeeeee what a challenge)
- seating chart (and MOH is putting finishing touches)
- got presents for my mumma, future ma-in-law, future step-ma-in-law
- sorted logistics for the 3 hour drive with all our stuff and our 3 dogs!
- tried on dress (slightly too big bummer) and pep talked myself into believing its OK!
- decided on jewellery, veil, hairstyle and hair flowers
- serviced car
- started my packing lists
- finalised ceremony
- finished dinner playlist, half finished dancing playlist boy that is hard!

Yay I'm so glad I wrote all this down... makes me so happy!! My to-do list is shrinking yay!!

AND to top it all off, my and the husband-in-six-days practiced our first dance tonight and we did it without fighting or screweing up haha!

fun times, even with this crappy weather!

PICKING UP TODAY YAY!
Sooo I'm pretty flippin' excited I get to pick up my wedding dress today yay yay yay!! I had a false alarm about 2 weeks ago, when I went to pick it up and I had to get it taken in again, by another 2 inches! Now I'm on a strict diet to not lose any more weight until the wedding (provided the thing fits now!).

I am however extremely worried about struggling to dance in my dress... anyone have any issues with a big poofy dress?

Hehehe not my dress in the picture, but how awesome!

PS I also bought a preeeetty oroton tennis bracelet to wear on the day!! Yay!!

Make Up Trial
I had my make up trial yesterday, and I have to say I was sooo nervous! Every time I've had my makeup done in the past I end up crying because I hate it so much! I am loving the job she did though, my mum, sister & I all got ours done together, we had a party to go last night so thought we'd time it in together!

Pre-Marriage Course
ahh the irony!
Last night we went for our first pre-marital course through a counselling bunch called Relationships Australia. 180 questions later (literally) we were told we could go, and we'd discuss the results next week. The counsellor encouraged us to talk about the questions, which we did, which ended up in us yelling at each other in the car.. ironic much? Turns out I was a bit too protective of him, and he was a bit too black & white in his opinions of me.. so now I'm afraid that I'm going to come across as a total bitch with a drinking and spending problem!!! But she assured us we'd talk about them next week.

If I can offer anyone any advice on these courses thoughÂ… PLEASE don't wait until 3.5 weeks before your wedding to start them!!

Hen's Party
fun fun fun!
I had my hen's party last night & we had a blast. 80s theme is always heaps of fun and music is so dag-a-licious awesome! Love my girls for organising such a great party :)

My sister (natalieb) made the cake.. isn't she clever!

It's funny, at the time I was feeling alot of pressure to make sure I was having a good time and really worried about making sure everyone else was having a good time, that it was only seeing these photos did I remember how much fun I was having. Lesson learned that I need to not worry and just concentrate on the fun at the wedding!!

Anyways just thought I'd share a few pics :)

Every silver lining has a cloud though.. I got my hair flower in the mail too today (from an etsy seller) and SO not impressed!! Have sent a polite "not happy jan" email to the seller, and will elaborate once I have a response from her.
