11/2 UPDATE
lots of new stuff!

I've been a crazy online shopper this past week! Ive gotten a bunch of new stuff for the big day:

Boutenieres: I dont like traditional flowers on the guys. So I am going to have a small burgundy feather pinned onto the guys with a silver music note pin (goes with the theme of course!)

cameras: I have been undecided about wether or not to have disposable cameras for the guests or not. I wanted red rose ones that match my decor. But all the red rose disposable cameras looked pretty flimsy and cheesy, with the red rosed just being on a piece of cardboard that contacined the cam. Finally I found these, and I love them! They are a surable, sturdy plastic material, with the red rose print INSIDE the plastic. Im still unsure if I will have them at the tables, or just in a bucket, available to womever wants one. I got 16, so there could be two at each table if I go that route.

flowergirl dress: Ordered it online. LOVE it!!!!

ring bearer: got the shirt from Dillards. Now just need to get him some black pants.

Hired: I have officially paid for and hired my wedding coordinator, and bartender.

my dress: Ordered it, and it came super fast!!! It is MUCH different than my first dress. The original one I had, I could just put on oand off very easy. This one is very poofy, and needs to be laced up the back. There is NO WAY I can put it on by myself, so I havent gotten to see a good photo of me in it yet, but I do love it.

maid of honor dress: even though I told the girls to get solid black, Tina liked this one alot, so she got it. Its got the black and burgundy. So Ive decided that Ill have her, and the best man wear black AND burgundy, and the bridesmaids & groomsmen in all black. I did the online wedding "virtual" dress up thing on Davids Bridal website. It didnt have the style of anything I am doing, so I added my own edits to it, to at least get an idea of how everyone's colors will mesh in the photos (to make sure it doesnt look too busy).

Ive done a little house cleaning and through out a bunch more stuff that I dont plan on unsing, now that I have my clear vision in mind.

Ive talked my guestbook idea over with Jeff- telling him I want a "Douglas Guitar" for our guests to sign. He really loved that idea!

I got my dummy cake foams for the main cake. I will have these, along with a real layer of cake on the bottom.

I got burgundy personalized napkins (with our names, date, and music note on them). I am going to rotate these in a stack, with black "music note" napkins that I can buy from a local party store.

WOW...great job and yes you've really gotten alot done lately!!  I especially love your DIY votive holders...maybe it's cause I used to play the violin and now I play the viola (which is still extremely similar, it's just slightly bigger and the note range goes a little bit deeper)...so yeah I think those came out looking amazing!!  Keep up the great work and you'll have pretty much everything done in no time lol!! ;-)
