This is mjview22's Green Wedding!

I'm having my engagement ring plated this week. I was just wondering if anyone has ever done this before? How long does it last? I know its $24 at Zales and I'm expecting to have it done every 4 months or so.

I think we finally have picked out our wedding bands also. They weren't near as expensive as I thought they would be . Thats one more thing to check off the list.

I ordered my seating cards with.. big surprise... VISTAPRINT.COM!
I L-o-v-e that website. I put the seating cards on business cards because I got a offer for 250 FREE. Well. I don't need 250 so I'm going to cut out the graphic that I made on about 100 of them and use them as bubble tags. Saving money makes me smile=)

I designed and ordered my program fans on www.vistaprint.com .
I think I only payed $15 for them. Now all I have to do is hot glue craft sticks and tie on some ribbon.


Finally getting things done!! =)

-the table will be covered in craft paper

So I have decided to use limes in my centerpieces.

We will have a touch of Asian influences. Were using square plates and paper lanterns. I was thinking of doing something like this for the head table. What do you think?

update: I will def be doing this for the head table.
I will be using 7 halfed oasis balls attached to the limb with berries around the bottom and a mixed flowers. then i will be adding 3 small oasis balls covered will green jeweled mums. We will also sprinkle pink petals, small limes and large halfed limes around the bottom.

These are the invites I have chosen from nowandforever.com. I dont know exactly how i fell about paying $400 for invites though. if I do decide to go this route I will be adding a piece of vellum stamped with our monogram in pink and green. ( thanks Sam!)

We are have our engagement pics taken this weekend. Heres some of my inspiration:

I am felling soooo accomplished this week! We have a church dj and a budget.(BTW I updated a bunch of my blogs to match all the "for sure" plans) We have chosen a awesome DJ! He is going to include a projection screen. Our photographer will give him access to some of the photos of the ceremony so our family can see them on a projection screen while eating dinner. He also is going to have a lighted Monogram lighting the dance floor. All of this for a very reasonable price.

Allan's mom passed away when he was 17. We really want to do
something to remember her on our day. so far:

*For the ceremony Allans dad will light a candle in font of a picture
of his mom. Allan will then light his candle from the one in front of
his mom before we light our unity candle

*My bouquet will have a locket with a pic of her in it.

* BUTTERFLIES!! they stand for remembering soo we are using
them everywhere. My bridesmaids and I will each have one in our
bouquets. There will be a few added to the cake. And, we might also
add one to the centerpieces.

This is such a cute idea I just found. I am totally going to do this because I have a bunch of single girlfriends that will be at the wedding.

Try a who-will-marry-next tradition that Turkish brides have been practicing for generations. I love this color balance! These colors are a little more bright than my colors but this is the basic idea.

I have seen a few brides do this and I think it is sooo cute! I don't know if there will be a huge price difference but I am definitely ordering a pink slip!

At one point I was going to order aria dresses but, my girls were not fond of ordering dresses online. We went to Davids bridal a month or so ago and decided on bubble hem dresses for sure. The great thing about the bubble hem is it hides little imperfections and makes every one feel comfortable. The problem with Davids bridal is they didn't have the color I needed. So after many hrs of searching I found a bubble dress I like even better than the first and it comes in a pretty green color.

I'm scrapping the Target dresses. I found these and I love them!! The are so precious! We will be ordering them next week. I love the bubble hem because it matches my bridesmaids dresses as well as mine! the were only $50. i like that these dont look like the traditional white toil dresses. These are more fun and the sash will match my bridesmaids.

I decided to design new save the date because when ours came in the pic wasn't big enough. They go great with our colors and the where only about $60 to have printed.

So of course right after I ordered the I decided that I hated them...I wanted them to be young and fun... and maybe do something a little bit more formal for the actual invite now IDK... to late now!

My groom has decided he wants to get a a really nice cake that taste really good. I cant much blame him after tasting at the bridal show...lol So we are going to use the best in our area. Marteens. She makes beautiful cakes and they taste amazing!!! melt in your mouth good!!

I go to see my cake decorator on Friday. Here are some new ideas I taking with me. No telling what I'll actually come up with when I get there. I would love to merge these two cakes.

I finally have colors. FOR SURE!! My groom picked for me. I was getting so stress out. My face broke out for the first time ever in my life! And, I'm 23! So pink and green it is. He liked it this way because his guys can wear green ties and I can accent with LOTS of PINK. I love it now its on to picking arrangements and ect. My girls will be in celery dresses from Aria.( Thank You Naomi!! You have been the biggest help!!) I've look for dresses a little less expensive but, nothing I find matches the quality.

I would love to take this pic at the wedding. I bought about 40 frames at a craft store for $0.25. I'm going to send them to the key people after the wedding. So about half of my wedding guest. And, of course we will be writing personal thank you notes to each guest.

I love the way these pics look!! These are ideas I would like to give to my photographer..... once I find a new one...

Ok so I did it! I changed my wedding colors! It took a little reminding from my groom that this is MY wedding. I am more excited than ever!!

I found a beautiful spa!!! It has a Spanish/vineyard fell! I don't think I am going to use this as the bm gifts but, we will defiantly be getting ready here. They are going to charge my girls $35 to do their hair. I'm going to throw a little voucher in their gift bags ("goody bags" I am putting together for all the ladies in the wedding)for a manicure the day f the wedding. They are going to serve us champaign and petty fours. We will get dressed and hop in a limo to the church!! I am sooooo excited!!

I should also include that they are doing everything *Free* for me!! The before the wedding they are going to give me a mother and daughter day before the wedding. They will cut & color mine and my moms hair (only charging her $20!! Normally its $90 there)We are going to get manicures and pedicures (mines free but I'm thinking of including heres in a gift) and, then they are going to style my hair for the rehearsal. The day of the wedding they will style me FREE!! I am so glad I found this place!!

Were having a late wedding so I was thinking of getting the groomsmen a game of golf for that day. But would that be considered a gift?

Simple half up or all down. Simply sophisticated.

Makeup.....well I'm fighting myself not to do my own...I need to relax a bit on my wedding day. I have friend who is a Mary Kay director. I'll probably ask her to do it for me. I want my foundation to look very natural , smokey eye and glossy lips.

I haven't made up my mind yet but, I know I at least want my hair half down. I like these a lot though. BTW I'm a natural blond so I'll prob be a blondie again by then.

We are using Gold shield. We already have them reserved. We got a great price for reserving it at a bridal show too.

We just found out that our reception site doesn't allow alcohol . Kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker. They will allow my groom and I to have a glass of wine with the cake cutting. We are probably going to have the tables set up with a glass of ice water and then have a option of sweet tea ( this is the south!!:P) or a lime aid (GREEN!!).

I just think the whole can thing is so tacky!! And, just because we are trying to save money , doesn't mean it has to look like it.

To save money we have decided to do our own catering. We will be making the food and warming it with several chafers. Heres the menu:

*Stuffed pasta (vegetarian option)
*Garden Salad with lots of veggies

My brother is the manager of a Italian restrant. We are going to hire a few of his employee to set up the tables, hand out horderves and bread sticks , and refill drinks.
Our horderves will be very simple. A small plate (probably blue..the color contrast thing again) with a mini cheese ball , cpl crackers and some grapes.

I will be using a monogram cake topper for sure! I love how modern they are. I love this cake topper too! It may have something to do with the "B" though!:)

I want my cake table to be cute. There will be petals sprinkled around with votive candles and "I DO" in wooden letters. I am also going to have my BM's place their bouquets on the cake table.

We are going to do the oh so popular candy favors. But instead of a buffet I thingk we just going to do rock candy. We are also going to make sugar cookies with a "B" on them
