I want my cake table to be cute. There will be petals sprinkled around with votive candles and "I DO" in wooden letters. I am also going to have my BM's place their bouquets on the cake table.

good luch you might have better luck just baking it yourself just read up on a few decorating books from the library. BUY DUNCAN HYNES (idk spelling) theirs is the moistest!! welll good luck with whatever you plan to do

Thanks! Now my groom is thinking he want to go to this really nice cake place Marteens  to get it. We tasted her cakes at a bridal show. They were melt in your month...amazing! So I guess we will have to budget cut somewhere else.

Yeah, I don't blame your hubby to be.  But to save costs you should consider the fake cake thing.  What you basically do is have a card board cake covered in fondant or marizapan, BUT there is a small section of it that's a real cake for you and hubby to cut and taste and smear in each others faces :)  Doing this allows you to save money by just ordering a sheet cake from Marteens which is a lot cheaper than a full out wedding cake.  The guests will never know the difference once it's cut.
