The Proposal

We're Engaged!!

It feels so good to finally say that! lol

We have been talking about getting married for since April on our 2 year anniversary. Jon and I went home to Memphis in June for a friend's wedding, he asked my mom and dad on Father's Day if he could marry me. He was planning on buying the ring with his college refund check, and told me it sometime before the New Year's.

Needless to say, I've been anxious, nervous, and excited. I hate surprises!! lol. We had picked out a ring from Kay's, and he would tease me with the idea of getting the ring every time they had a sale. There was this one this past weekend and that is when I thought he was going to get the ring. Well he did get the ring, he picked it up at least. He had bought it weeks before and it had been ready since the 3rd! We had actually gone in and the display was gone. My ring was in the back! The salesperson and him played it off very well. lol

Last night at the church where he is a choir director at, we attended a Christmas Concert. After the concert he had me sit in the pew with him, pulled me close, and told me he had a question to ask me, a good one too and he pulled out the ring! My best friend (and maid of honor) who is responsible for us dating, his mother, and family friend were all there with lots of our church friends and family! It was perfect!
