It's finalized... we've booked it!!! I can't wait to get out in the sun. We are going All inclusive for 1 week. Staying the the delux suite. I love it... NOw i'm really looking foward to our wedding.

I will be having a shower and a bachelorette for the wedding.

the 2 stags for myself and the one for my fiance we ahev no clue what is being planned. Our Job is to show up that day, the bridesmaid along with my MOH will be planning mine and for my fiance his groomsmen along with his BEst Man willbe planning his.
I'm nervous have no clue what my girls are up to.

For our bridal shower we do know what is going on, I'm really into the planning for everything so they all agreed that I can help do the shower. My Maid of Honor will be the Host for the shower, and one of my cousin and her husband had asked to cater all the food and booze. Which is a very generous offer from them. A BIG THANK YOU.
The theme we have decided is the Polynesian theme (pretty similar to a luau) My background being Polynesian it will be so easy to pull this one off. Some of the Decor we already have and just to buy little things here and there. For every womne that enters into my parents back yard that day will be honored with a Lei and alot more goddies for them.

I have ran by my fiance about getting registered at a store for the shower, that way everyone wont be asking "what to get the couple" My fiance thinks the idea sucks. he feels we are telling people what to buy, I don't though. I think it's better to give everyone the idea of what we need then to get something that we wont need. Weve been living together for a while now and we do have some stuff already, I think I will save everyon';s time.

It's getting very close.. and I feel like I haven't completed anything at all... which I have now I think I'm getting confused.... I think about everyhting more than once...

So I have done samples for our centrepiece and bonbonier:
I was in a local dollar store and decided to pick up some stuff to try it out. I'm not to sure about these ideas for the centre pieces,
But for the bonboniers I think I'm going to do what I have there.

this is my second DIY project and this time I'm getting my fiance involved. I was on another site and came across the instruction to build your own Photo Card box. i think this will look so amazing... and different, i haven't seen this at anyones wedding yet So for sure I'm doing this.

This girl did a amazing job and her instuctions are so understandable.

One of the first things that I did when I started planning my wedding was find the right place for my hair and make up for my special day. So my MOH referred me to a place in Norval Ontario... not to far outside of Brampton. She actually had her hair and makeup there for one of her firends wedding.
When it comes to style I TRUST 110% I always call her my stylist.
So we went there and booked it for the Saturday Reception. June 6th is my make up and hair trial day... So I will get all dolled up that day just like the wedding day.
The Actual wedding day on the Friday I don't have to worry because My cousin's will be dressing me up the traditional South Indian way.

I have gotten my permit for the Garden that we will be taking pictures at. James Garden located downtown Toronto is a popular place where parties go to take pictures. They have brideges, and waterfalls. My fiance really wanted to go there for our wedding pictures. It cost 130.00 for a 2hr time slot. I hope that is enough time with a bridal party of 28 ppl. WHAO...

The Saturday of the reception the Limo Bus will take us all there and then take us to the Hall.

My shot glasses for the bonboniers(Party Favor) have come in Yeaaa.... They look amazing, I can't wait to finish the look. it will be inserted in a clear box (2 of them) and I will put a bow or ribbon at the top centre with the tag ( thank you) on it. I still have to experiment.

Also the Grooms men gifts have come in... I will wrap each one individualy in a paper the color of the wedding and it will be placed on the head table each man 's plate. It will be a part of the wedding decor for the head table..
The bridal party don't know that we are getting them gifts so they will be surprised to see something there for them,

I just ordered a Ice sculpture for the reception. We will place it by the dessert table, I think it will add a little elegance to the table.

The sculpture will Be M&V. thats it.

my Background being south indian/polynesian. and my finace being north indian..guyanese. We have decided to do our ceremony the hindu way. we have a 2 day wedding and the Friday night is the actual ceremony, in the hindu custom it is usually done the brides cultural way.. so the groom and his family basically have it easy, they just have to come and take the bride away. lol...

We have choose to do the traditional South Indian wedding ceremony, I'm the only daugther for my parents and being the last/final one to get married ( my older brother already is) my dad wants to see his little girl to do the traditional south indian custom.

So that mean I will have to wear Red, I'm so not fond of it... I almost got into a argument with a few people because I really did not want to wear red. But this weekend when we went looking for my indian outfit I ended up trying on different shades of red andfinally agreed on one... I actually Love the way it looked on me.. and it's even a bonus because I will make my dad really happy.

We got out wedding bands done... Last weekend we seen a his and her matching set tried it on and loved it... so this weekend we went back and put our deposit down... closer to the wedding date the Jewller will engrave inside our initials and wedding date.

Now we can check off another itme from our list... The bridal party gifts... For the grooms men we bought a leather flask personalized with their names on it... I know they will enjoy it, even got one for My fiance now him and his cousins will allhave the same one.

The bridesmaid we got Personalized frames. Silver, horizontal, at the top it will say Malini & Vish's Bridal Party and at the Bottom it will have their name written on it.

It was very difficult for us to decide. we are close to all these people and wanted them all a part of our wedding.

For the big day I have chosen to wear Dolce & Gabban Light Blue... I think the smell is amazing...
when we first met I would always wear it.... then I stopped and only wear it on occasions...
So I thought I would wear it for the big day and bring back some memories.

I'm going to go all out with the shower gel first then the body lotion and last the perfume. I so love this perfume... I think it's one of the best!!

So we have finally ordered our bonboniers for the reception. These are 2oz shot glasses that we choose. They will be given out at the entrance of the hall where everyone gets their table numbers.

Each family with receive 2 glasses in a clear see through box, at the centre top it will have just a flower to go with the theme colors, and a note tag with our names and wedding date. We will be putting it altogether ourselves.

Each glass will be personalized with our names and date of wedding and the bottom of the glass will be green.

They arrive May 13th I can't wait!!

So We've decided to throw in a candy buffet into our wedding.... I think this will be great, we will put both of our favorite candies, in different size jars, decorate the table with the theme colors dfferent heights flowers ect.

I'm looking into getting cusomize bags for everyone to take their candy home in.

Our bridal party is 24 including myself and my fiance and then a 2 flower girls and 2 boys so altogether it's 28 ppl.

On the day of the reception I am not having everyone split up...OOOHHH NOOO... It is very important that everyone stays together that day for so many obvious reason.

So we have decided to do the LIMO Bus... we put our deposite down and now that is out of our way.

So having such a bridal party... is kind of hard.... Finally I have found the dresses for my girls... It took me a very long time... I didn't want to go to expensive on them...so it took me a very long time to find the perfect one.... I went through tailors, bridal boutiques everything... I finally found it in "shoppers World Brampton" a store called Monique's. Now 10 of my girls will be wearing the long version and my maid of honor will be wearing the short version.

Entertainment is a must at our wedding. I think it gets guest in the mood. So we've decided to have 3. My background being Fiji indian/polynesian and my finace being Guyanese indian, we choose to have his little sister do a Indian Movie song dance and then I will have my cousin doing our traditional hula dance. I know that My fiance's family would enjoy this, we gave them a little taste at our engagment and they all loved it. Our third entertainment will be a Tassa Band they are a gruop of 4-5 which play drums and everyone just dances and wines to the ground. it's very popluar in the west indies. I can't wait!!!!!!!

Okay we have finalized the 11 grooms men tuexdo also the groom. It was a little diffcult to find the colors that we were looking for, but then the last store out of the 4 we went to was Syd Silver, and they had exactly what I was looking for. Both the men and Vish will be wearing blck tux soemting similar. the men will have a buttercup yellow tie along with the vest. My fiance on the other hand will have the Ivory color shirt tie and vest to match my wedding gown. We can't clash that day we are the main point of interest. :) I think they will all look very handsom.

I have finally booked my decorator for the Hall. I had a choice of going with whom the hall provided or bringing my own.. So I went with Bringing my own Decorator... I found Her online.... met with her a few times and she sold me with her ideas. The good thing about her is that she is willing to work with what ever we ask, which is a good thing because after all it's our wedding.

My head table will consist of 24 that's including the bridal party and the bride and groom. YEP THAT BIG...lol.. We are thinking of doing the table setting as family tables, so everyone will be diveded into 5 tables of 5 i will look something like a pyramid. the lights that we will have are flood ligths as apose to twinkle ligths. Each guest table with have whit cloth with a greeb table runner instead of the overlay... the tall centre piece and around Yellow Petals and a few votive candles,

I have been looking all over the place for vases for my centre piece. It's starting to stress me out....... I need a certain type of vase. Haveing somany people at the wedding means that I will have so many tables. So I'm looking for a resonable price. which is so hard to find now a days.

I thought finding my wedding gown was going to be difficult. But taking along my majority of my brides maid it all worked out fine.... besides going to 4 different stores and trying on at least 5 in each store.... I'm happy with the one I choose, I bought a ivory colour instead of the white.. I tried both colors on but the Ivory looked more elegant... the white seemed to plain to me,.

The main color we choose was a Green, but then everything can't be green.....we need something more to it...so we decided on touches of buttercup yellow.... whenyou put the 2 together it looks perfect for a summer wedding.

I'm giving out about 300 invitations. I've priced online and stores within the GTA and the prices are mind blowing ...... the way I look at it is that a lot of poeple don't keep theirs after the occasion is over.... so why spend a arm and a leg on something that wont be kept for good...
So i did some searching and came across Michaels Craft store which had carried do it yourself invitations... went in and saw the perfect one with a bow Rsvp cards everything that you will need. Not forgetting the price was great. My invitaions cost me under 350$. with stamps and monogram stickers.
