Help me!

I'm totally having an major issue. I asked my FH cousin and the most amazing wedding photographer alive, to take our photos at the wedding, and I didn't hear back right away. I also entered Mike and I into a contest to win a free wedding photographer. If we win the contest, we get a free photographer, but if we don't win we have to pay $900 for our package-which is half price. Well, my FH cousin just responded yesterday and said she would do it for the same price that we would have to pay the contest photographer if we don't win the contest! BUT-I already gave the contest photographer a $450 deposit and it is non refundable...so, I don't know what to do now. Should I eat the $450 and go with the amazing photographer (my FH cousin), or tell her we can't since we put down a deposit :( HELP!!!!! I don't know what to do, and nobody understands except for my fellow brides! Need advice!

My FH cousin took the picture I attached...she is AWESOME!

I mean thats alot of money to just throw away and I would stick with who I got and tell her ,sorry because you already put a non-refundable deposit down

i know this seems like a crazy situation. but ... if you really love the pictures that your FH's cousin takes and your heart is set on that and you know you can worth well together then go with who you think is the better photographer. I know it sucks to have lost money -- believe me, I've been there -- but if you find someone else that you think is better, whom you can work with well -- after all, it is a business transaction -- then go with who you want more. Just make sure it's the one you really want -- you don't want buyer's remorse. :)

Putting money aside -- if you were to not lose any money -- who would you choose?
